North America, based on press time, has about 30 if you include the Archives game we know is coming from Hamster.

We're throwing a party in celebration of our 600th-canonical episode.

A couple of Sega Ages games received release updates today.
The enhanced version of Phantasy Star, which released in Japan at the end of October, will finally come to the West on December 13. It is not known what caused the delay, as the Japanese version did contain English text.

Two games for the price of... well, 0.8 if you grab the launch discount.
R-Type Dimensions's Switch release has a date and a discount.
The pack of shooters, announced a few months ago, will release on November 28 and normally cost US$14.99/C$18.89. Buying the game before December 4 will give 20% off these prices, and the game can be preloaded now.
Dimensions has enhanced versions of the first two R-Type shooters from Irem, with the ability to speed up or slow down the games as necessary.

The European eShop has added a listing for a game that hit with a big bang.
Ms. Splosion Man, a 2011 sequel to an Xbox Live Arcade series, has appeared on the eShop's Coming Soon page in Europe with a release date of 22 November and a price of €14.99/£11.99. Developed by Twisted Pixel Games, the original Splosion Man launched in 2009 and both games were originally published by Microsoft.

The world gets to enjoy some easier Gradius today, while Japan can also have an advantage on the links.
A "SP" save, in the style of The Legend of Zelda's, was added today for Gradius in the NES catalogue for Nintendo Switch Online. The enhanced save starts in stage 5 (of 7) and includes all powerups except for the game's double shot due to it conflicting with the included Laser.

A unique underwater journey.
End of month boredom will sleep with the fishes this month.
505 Games have announced that Abzu, a 2016 PC and console adventure game inspired by scuba diving, is coming to Switch on November 29. The game was previously available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Several of the developers of Abzu previously worked on 2012's Journey for PlayStation 3 while at thatgamecompany.

And onto the Wii U next year.
One of the bigger indie titles of Smash week has just announced its launch date.
Battle Princess Madelyn, a tribute to 16-bit action platformers developed by a three-person team, will be releasing on Switch December 6. The former Kickstarter project raised more than four times its initial funding goal. A Wii U version was also promised in the original funding, and will release in early 2019.

A post on the Steam Community boards has confirmed that one of the biggest hits in PC gaming is coming to Switch at some point.
The horror series Five Nights at Freddy's has been confirmed for a console port in association with publisher Clickteam. According to series creator Scott Cawthon, the console ports are approximately 20% complete.

They called it "summer" because they apparently don't know when seasons start.
Pikachu and a host of other Pokémon will make their live-action theatrical debut next May.
The trailer for the Ryan Reynolds vehicle was revealed today, along with the premiere date of May 11. The story is set in Ryme City, the same location as this March's 3DS game.

Unexpectedly, though unsurprisingly, a YouTube application is now available in the eShop for the Nintendo Switch. The free download will install YouTube on TV, allowing you to watch videos on the go. The option to sign-in to access your subscription list is available but requires a separate device in order to activate.

The second Wednesday of the month will see games added to the Switch's subscription NES library again.
Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack and Twinbee will all be added to the subscription service next Wednesday, November 14. The timing hasn't been announced, but as the games are added at the same time worldwide the service should update in the early morning hours for North America.

Think the releases slow down just because it's December?
As November looks to have more Switch releases than the first six months of the system's life, December is starting to rev up as well.
Devolver Digital's stylish adventure GRIS will be releasing on December 13, the same day as Inti Creates's Dragon Marked for Death. One week prior, the first of the Asmodee board game ports will launch as Carcassone has been tagged for a December 6 release.

November is going to be a month of Switch violence, and it's not just because of Black Friday.
Devolver Digital have announced Mother Russia Bleeds, an ultra-violent brawler set in an alternate version of the USSR, for a November 15 release. Up to four players can punch their way through a brutal, M-rated dystopia.
