Best Planet GameCube moment 2001
Assorted Awards
For the short four months I've been here, all of them. – Karlie Yeung
Playing Advance Wars with Max as we got ready on my wedding day morning. – Colin Taibi
Having a real-life staff meeting in that Los Angeles Internet cafe, and realizing it was exactly like a chat-room staff meeting, except with faces instead of screen names. It was a surreal and yet extremely comforting experience, and from there on I had no problems feeling like part of the group. – Jonathan Metts
Reading the email of the people who had responded to my pro-Sony editorial. – Michael Orlando
Well if I had gone to E3 that would probably be it but since I didn't I'd have to say the best moment would be talking to everyone after we all got our GameCubes. – Mike Sklens
Me getting hired. 'Nuff said. - Steven Rodriguez
E3 2001 Package. Completing the first commercial CD product, the 2001 E3 CDs, was a personal accomplishment, and I'm jazzed about improving on everything I've learned. – Mike Hrusecky
Being hired. Although it happened in 2000, I have to say it. I love working here. I really do. It's great. Best job I ever had, paying or non-paying. – Jeff Shirley
E3 2001 - Getting the whole staff together and functioning as a team was an amazing experience. Specifically, on the last night in LA when we were walking from our hotel to grab a bite to eat, everyone walked over a busy highway that ran right through downtown LA. Looking down the highway I think most of us got a flashback of the (now) famous F-Zero level in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and I said so. That's the kind of thing that only a bunch of Nintendo freaks could really understand, but it was great all the same. – David Trammell
E32001. So many great games, people and most of all: memories. - Zosha Arushan
Actually, when our packed hotel room at E3 was up way too long just yammering about stuff. – Ty Shughart
Earning the title of "RickGod" for my ruthless and cold-hearted smacking down of worthless posts and flamebait in the Forums. If you want to claim X-Box or PS2 is a better console, you'd better have a damn good reason to back it up. – Rick Powers
Walking out of the Laox in Akihabara with my GameCube on Japanese launch day. I don't think there could have been anything more satisfying. Well that's outside of E32001. Heh. – Billy Berghammer
