It's a gala event and all the stars are turning out to see who all the winners are! Check out who and what ruled, and reeked in 2001! Let the awards begin!
Why we're looking forward to 2002 Award:
More new GameCube Games
Mario Sunshine, Zelda for GameCube, and Metroid Prime. HAHAHAHA! I'll be extremely pleased if even one of those games makes it out in 2002, because right now I'm questioning whether any of them will. – Jonathan Metts
Can't wait to see what Miyamoto tries to accomplish with Cel-da – Justin Nation
I want more Nintendo games now! Give them to me! All of them! – Mike Sklens
Getting my hands on some Mario and Zelda action is a big plus. – Mike Hrusecky
After playing all the Jak and Daxters and Banjo Tooies, I’ve just become tired of the traditional platformer. Conker is one of, if not my most favorite games of the year, but it’s not really a true platformer. I’m hoping Mario Sunshine will rekindle that fun that I so direly want. – Mike Orlando
Games, games, games. Everything seems to be coming together nicely for my year of HS graduation. With all sorts of 1st and 2nd party titles spread out on both systems and 3rd party goods to hopefully enhance the experience, 2002 may be Nintendo's best year in a long time! And the increasing trend of translating "off-beat" Japanese titles for international release only makes things sweeter. - Michael Cole
This is definitely going to be the year of the “N”. We'll be getting our mits on Second generation Game Boy Advance and GameCube games. Mario and Zelda…do I need to say more? – Billy Berghammer
Really. More games for our carnal gaming habit. Digital pastimes for
all. – Jeff Shirley
In 2002, with all systems being available, good games will need to be made available throughout the year to keep gamers interested in each of the three platforms. I think Nintendo knows this better than anyone. Aside from the heavy hitters, Mario and Zelda, we have the potential for some surprises, and the releases of Eternal Darkness, Star Fox Adventures, Resident Evil and NBA Courtside in the first half of the year. 2002 appears to be the year of Nintendo if they can stick to their release schedule. – David Trammell
If anybody hears my wishes out there, anybody, I want DDR, KI3, and Perfect Dark. And a pony. – Ty Shughart
Blue furrrr! Red furrrr! Rrrrare's first GameCube game! - Karlie Yeung
