Nintendo Announces Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for DS DS

The long-rumored DS RPG is confirmed for this holiday.

Nintendo has announced the RPG Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for the Nintendo DS.

The game continues the Golden Sun saga, and features lots of 3D overheard action and gorgeous environments. There are also lots of cutscenes that utilize both DS screens.

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is scheduled to release this holiday season.

Nintendo Announces Mario Sports Mix for Wii Wii

Mario is back on the sports scene.

Nintendo has announced Mario Sports Mix for Wii at their E3 2010 Press Conference.

The game features lots of Mario-themed sporting events, such as Basketball, Dodgeball, Ice Hockey, and Volleyball.

Mario Sports Mix is set for release next year.

Nintendo Names Zelda for Wii, Discusses Release Date Wii

The new game is heralded as "a turning point" in the series' history.

Nintendo has revealed the name of the next console Zelda game at their E3 2010 presentation. The name of the new game is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and it will be released "next year".

Tony Hawk: Shred Revealed Wii

The Birdman will also be taking to snowy slopes in this year's iteration.

Tony Hawk: Shred is definitely going to feature both skateboarding and snowboarding, according to a trailer shown at Activision's E3 preview event.

The sequel to last year's Tony Hawk: Ride will use the same board controller as last year, though the trailer showed another board controller that had different artwork.

EA Sports Active 2 Gets a Name Change, Release Date Wii

Shedding the 2.0 moniker, EA Sports Active 2 is coming out November 16.

At EA's E3 press conference, the firm title and release date for EA Sports Active 2 was announced.

The game, set for a November 16 release, was previously known as EA Sports Active 2.0, and features two wireless sensors that read your heart rate while you play.

EA Sports Active 2 is playable on the E3 show floor.

Ubisoft Unveils Raving Rabbids Travel in Time Wii

Take a trip through time with the crazy rodents.

During their pre-E3 press conference, Ubisoft announced Raving Rabbids Travel in Time.

The title is set to be the latest adventure in the Raving Rabbids series, following the well-recieved Rabbids Go Home. It will feature the Rabbids at various periods throughout time, battling cavemen, gladiators and knights.

Warner Bros. Interactive has released an E3 trailer for Super Scribblenauts, the sequel to their 2009 hit Scribblenauts. It promises even more words, better controls, and more of the same wacky gameplay that fans of the original game fell in love with.

Today THQ announced de Blob 2: The Underground, a Wii and DS sequel to their hit 2008 title de Blob. They also announced a partnership with SyFy Network and "de Blob-branded consumer products", but details were not provided.

Rock Band 3 Instrument Pricing Revealed Wii

Really, if you compare the price-per-button, these new controllers aren't too pricey at all.

Mad Catz has announced the pricing for the new instruments for Rock Band 3.

The most significant addition to the Rock Band gameplay is the new wireless keyboard controller, which features a 25-key wireless keyboard which can be laid flat on a table or held up with a strap while playing. The keyboard peripheral can also be used to play the guitar tracks. It will be priced at $79.99 if purchased separately, or $129.99 bundled with the game.

Retro Studios Making a New Donkey Kong Game?

The Metroid Prime developers might have an ape up their sleeves.

Retro Studios might be working on a new Donkey Kong title, according to IGN.

The company, based in Austin, Texas, has been mostly silent (beyond their work on Metroid Prime Trilogy) after completing the Metroid Prime games. Rumors have circulated about what they've been up to since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released in 2007.

Nicalis Teases Other Games From Cave Story Developer

Some of Pixel's lesser-known games could be coming to WiiWare or DSiWare.

Nicalis hinted at the idea of publishing Ikachan and Guxt, two of Cave Story creator Pixel's other games, in a recent blog entry on their website.

In 2009, Nicalis talked about the possibility of bringing Pixel's other games to DSiWare on Twitter.

All of Pixel's games are available as freeware online, but Cave Story was released on WiiWare this past March with upgrades.

Conduit 2 to Use Wii MotionPlus Wii

High Voltage Software's first-person shooter sequel will use MotionPlus for precision control and better tracking.

Sega announced today that Conduit 2 will support Wii MotionPlus.

The sequel to last year's first-person shooter developed by High Voltage Software, Conduit 2 will use Nintendo's peripheral for better control and tracking. It will also help keep the pointer accurate when it reaches the side of the screen.

Harmonix Introduces Pro Mode, Keyboards for Rock Band 3 Wii

Pro Mode attempts to segue players into playing real instruments, and will be bolstered by new instruments, including the brand new keyboard.

Keyboards are headlining the list of new additions for Harmonix's Rock Band 3, which will also feature Pro Mode, 83 new songs, and refined gameplay, according to USA Today.

"With the introduction of keyboards, we get to bring a ton of amazing new music onto the platform, which will help feed the appetite for music for years to come," said Alex Rigopulos, Harmonix CEO.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions to Feature 2099 Universe Wii

The game's third universe, in addition to Amazing and Noir, will be the futuristic 2099 one.

Activision confirmed that the third universe featured in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be the Spider-Man 2099 universe.

So far, two other universes have been announced, the classic Amazing Spider-Man universe, featuring Kraven the Hunter as the main boss, and the Noir Spider-Man universe, which will feature Hammerhead and the Goblin as bosses. The 2099 universe will feature a robotic Hobgoblin as the main boss.

Nintendo Clears Third Parties to Announce 3DS Titles at E3 Rumor3DS

Reports indicate that third-parties had been, up to now, unable to announce games for Nintendo's 3D successor to the DS.

It has been known for a while that Nintendo plans to show the 3DS in some capacity at E3 next week. It's not known how much they plan to show of their next handheld, which they announced a few months prior, but Game Informer is reporting that third parities will be clear to show their titles for the new system once E3 begins.
