Wired's interview gives some of the history behind the 3DS.
During E3, Wired's Game|Life blog interviewed Hideki Konno, Head of Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis & Development, Software Development Group 1. Konno has worked on Nintendo games since Super Mario Bros., and more recently was the producer of Nintendogs and Mario Kart for Nintendo DS. He is in charge of the concept and definition of capabilities for the Nintendo 3DS.

A pair of Aero the Acro-Bat games and Ufouria are coming soon.
Today Sunsoft announced that they are bringing three new titles to Virtual Console in North America: Aero the Acro-Bat 1 and 2 (SNES), and Ufouria: The Saga (NES).

DSi and 3DS users will be able to video chat with users locally and via Wi-Fi.
In a recent issue of CoroCoro magazine, a new feature for Pokemon Black and White called "Live Caster" has been revealed.
When Pokemon Black and White is played on a DSi or 3DS, players will be able to host a video chat with up to three other players, both locally and via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The ability can be obtained at a certain point in the game.

Samus' next adventure will arrive in Europe shortly after its North American and Japanese launches.
Today Nintendo announced that 3 September 2010 is the European launch date for Metroid: Other M.
This joins the previously announced dates of 31 August for North America and 1 September for Japan. This is near enough to a simultaneous launch for most of the world, with the date variations due to local release patterns. Game releases in Europe are normally on Fridays.
