All the #GreatestTankBattles, but without Auston Matthews waiting at the end.
Your big game for the week in both North America and the PAL regions is Tank Troopers. The six-player local multiplayer (I find your lack of online disturbing...) tank combat game featured the Codename STEAM semi-memorial sing-along trailers, but will probably outsell Intelligent System's title when it's all said and done.

Finally, you don't have to see Takumi every time.
Fire Emblem Heroes is changing up the roster and retaining some popular launch promotions.
A new hero set called "Family Bonds" replaced the two standing pools in today's update. The new pool's 5* Focus characters are from the GBA's Sacred Stones (Eirika, Ephraim) and the Japanese-exclusive Genealogy of the Holy War (Seliph, Julia). The first Paralogues and other quests, some of which require the focus characters, have also been added.

Anime for all, strategy RPGs for some.
This week's download slate is a tad light for North America. Perhaps the biggest deal is either the Azure Striker Gunvolt anime now being available to purchase on 3DS, with your choice of subs and / or dubs to perfectly bridge that debate. Also, there's a crossbuy planting game in the form of Plantera for those who have both a Wii U and a 3DS available.

A surprisingly explosive list this close to Day One.
This week, the manatees have bestowed upon us the last 3DS retail game for several weeks as Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World releases. Come for the really cute animated shorts, stay for a quality port of a game that was actually #2 on my 2015 all-format GOTY list. (And check out Daan's review if you're on the fence.) Poochy Amiibo sadly not included with the download version, but sold separately.

No matter which side of the Atlantic you're on, there's something rare this week.
The eShops are light this week as we move over closer to Switch Day One. The eShop releases are all for 3DS, as we have the latest bit of Lightwood Studios wordplay and a follow-up to Quiet, Please! in the same mold. Honestly, the biggest non-VC release of the week might be Pokémon Bank's Sun and Moon updates.
