The question everyone has about Nintendo's new fighting game will be answered next month.

The NPD Group released their sales survey for June 2017 today, featuring a strong midfield performance for Switch games.

It's the inevitable return of the kid and squid dichotomy.

In terms of number of games, it's a light week (prior to Europe's PR, Japan has the lead with seven games just on Switch). But like was speculated the last couple of weeks, they had quantity to get away from Splatoon 2. Possibly the biggest game to hit Switch since day 1 and Breath of the Wild, I would wish good luck to anyone trying to buy a Switch this week. Especially in Japan.

R.B.I. Baseball Releases On Switch September 5 Switch

The latest major sports title to hit the platform.

The Switch's sporty September will include a late call up from baseball as well.

R.B.I. Baseball 2017 has been announced for a September 5 release on the Switch at a $29.99 MSRP. Officially published by Major League Baseball, the simulation title is only related to the NES and Super NES baseball series by their name.

Super Smash Bros Games for 3DS and Wii U Updated WiiU3DS

Now with support for Bayonetta... Amiibo.

Support for the last Smash Amiibo releasing this week has necessitated an update to the two last Super Smash Bros games.

Both Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U have been updated to version 1.1.7 as of tonight. The updates are necessary to add support for the six new Smash Bros series Amiibo that will release Friday (two versions each of Bayonetta, Corrin and Cloud).

Nintendo Switch Online Application Now Live MobiSwitch

Can't use it quite yet, though.

The Nintendo Switch Online application can be downloaded now, though it is currently in a maintenance mode until Splatoon 2 launches.

Android and iOS stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan and Europe have all confirmed the app's availability. Launching the app right after its release showed the server "under maintenance" with a 2816-0700 error code.

Wii U Receives First System Software Update in Eighteen Months WiiU

The Wii U has become a little bit more stable.

A new system software is now available for Nintendo's previous console, version 5.5.2U. The first system software update for the system since January 11 of last year, the update notes are simply "Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience".

That's a lot of Switch games again.

For the second week in a row, a full hand of Switch games are hitting the shop. Perry reviewed Death Squared for us, while David L picked up I and Me out of its European release last week. There's also the odd looking De Mambo, and a puzzle game that bears a more-than-striking resemblance to Threes.

ARMS 2.0 Now Available: New Character, Multiplayer Fixes Switch

And a new goal to strive for.

A new update for ARMS has added a new character, mode and top rank among other changes.

Version 2.0 adds final boss Max Brass to the playable roster, as announced at the end of Nintendo's Treehouse Live presentation at E3. A new Versus mode has also been added called Headlok Scramble, as well as the ability to reach level 20 in Ranked play and view records of play on the main menu.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Makes Switch Debut In September Switch

A 50 hour game, but it's 20 if you remove the charging of attacks.

Bandai Namco will unleash the dragon on Switch this fall.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been announced for release on September 22 in North America and Europe. The Switch version will offer a six-player local option as well as optional motion controls for throwing Kamehameha at opponents.

The base game is a combat RPG with a player-created fighter taking part in an original story set in the Dragon Ball universe.

WWE 2k18 Enters The Switch Arena Switch

Finally, you can have a Brock Lesnar match last more than six minutes.

The WWE will return to Nintendo consoles this fall after a five year hiatus.

WWE and 2K announced today that the annual wrestling franchise will have a Nintendo Switch version this year. WWE 2k18 launches October 17 alongside the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, with early access for preorders four days earlier.

RiME On Switch Has "No Official Release Date" As Of Now Switch

Cool your jets: Rime is not officially delayed to winter

RiME, according to publisher Grey Box, does not have any official release date at the time.

The Switch game, which came out on other platforms in May, was most recently slated for a summer 2017 release on the system. On Nintendo's official site, its release date changed to "Winter 2017".

Some more guest characters of prominence are coming to Blaster Master Zero.

Inti Creates announced at their panel at Anime Expo today that the upcoming version 1.3 update would enable support for two more DLC characters: Shovel Knight and Shantae. Shantae will arrive on Thursday (July 6) while Shovel Knight will dig in on August 3.

The next Nintendo Direct will provide a refresher on the month's biggest game.

A Splatoon 2 focused Nintendo Direct will air on Thursday, July 6 starting at 10 a.m. Eastern / 7 a.m. Pacific / 1500 Central European time. The Direct promises "new features in the upcoming Splatoon 2".

The second of three Kirby 3DS games this year will blast into the 3DS eShop next week.

Kirby's Blowout Blast, an expanded version of a minigame found in last year's Kirby Planet Robobot, will launch in North America on July 6 according to an announcement from Nintendo of America's Twitter account.
