Star Wars? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
It'll be thirty months from launch before Star Wars makes the Switch run.
Zen Studios have announced Star Wars Pinball will release on Switch on September 13, in both digital and physical forms. The 19 table collection covers the movies, TV shows, and even specific characters such as a Lando Calrissian-inspired table.

Spike Chunsoft has released new details about their upcoming detective story Ai: The Somnium Files.
Psychic detective Kaname, the player character, must dive into the dreams of others in order to solve real world mysteries. Mental blocks are puzzles that obscure the truth, and any action Kaname takes while exploring dreams will draw down a six minute time limit.

The third quarter will feature some bright whipping action.
Whipseey, the debut commercial release from developer Daniel Ramirez, has been scheduled for release in Q3 (July - September) by publisher Blowfish Studios. The 2D platformer stars the titular Whipseey, who uses a whip on their head to attack enemies, swing from points in the environment, and even extend jumps by twirling it like a helicopter.

Settling the land will get a bit easier in June.
The Switch version of Catan that was announced last year finally received a release date today: June 20. Pricing was not released, but the previous Asmodee Digital-published board game, Carcassone, launched December 6 in North America at a US19.99 price tag.

This month's NES Online update includes the ability to be just a little godlike.
In addition to the previously announced updates, today's update added a SP version to Kid Icarus. The special version provides the game's Three Sacred Treasures - Wings of Pegasus, Arrow of Light, and Mirror Shield - and starts out in the final stretch before Medusa.

It's not known if it'll come with 3.0, but Stage Builder appears to be coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
A new commercial for Ultimate has dropped on Nintendo's YouTube channel, and the opening second of the ad shows a new version of the game's menu showing Stage Builder on the same row as Amiibo and Mii Fighters.

If trying to juggle April's releases is driving you to drink, a new place to drown your sorrows will open in early May.
VA-11 HALL-A, the PC and PlayStation Vita visual novel centered around the life of a futuristic bartender, will release on Switch May 2. Set largely in the titular bar, the player has to maintain a standard of living and experience the story of the bar's many unique patrons.

If you're like Donald who can't win to save his life, you still might get the gold.
The Tetris 99 Cup will return this weekend, with more opportunities to bring home the (999) gold (coins).
Running from Friday at 9 a.m. EDT to 2:59 a.m. Monday morning, the tournament will award 999 My Nintendo Gold Coins ($9.99) for top players. The second competition will institute a points system based on finishes during the play time, with 100 points being equivalent to a win, and the top 999 scorers receiving the money.

I think the bold text collapsed somewhere around the four-way women's tag.
The bold text decided to ship off to New York for a wrestling weekend, and was last spotted unconscious in the nosebleeds at Snoopy Stadium so it's got the week off. I hope there's no objections to this week's big game: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, the collection of DS games appearing on every system known to man. Alternatively, the well-acted Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice provides some nice psychological and philosophical discussion.

Games have gotten Labo updates in the past, and now two of Nintendo's biggest games will join in.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey will be receiving Labo VR support on April 25, about two weeks after the Labo VR kit launches. Both games will use the Goggles, found in the US$40 Starter Kit.

This week's Arcade Archives game will be delayed a day, but will bring a Nintendo oddity.
Hamster have confirmed that Donkey Kong 3, the last of the game's starring Nintendo's ape mascot for more than a decade, will be releasing this Friday. Standard Archives pricing (US$7.99, €6.99, £6.29, ¥823) will apply.

A new update for the game has added support for cloud saves with the Steam version of Civilization VI. A 2K Games account is required for the function to work, and creating one is an option ingame.

A premiere action title with a psychological bent
One of 2017's most gripping games is coming to Switch next week.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been tabbed for an April 11 release according to the website of developers Ninja Theory. It was originally released in 2017, and tabbed for a Switch version in February's Nintendo Direct.
The Unreal Engine 4 powered title is being ported to the Switch by British firm QLOC, who previously handled the remastered Dark Souls.
