Wii U Final Form to Be Shown at E3 2012 WiiU

The new home console from Nintendo will be fully revealed next June.

The Wii U will be shown in its final form at E3 in 2012, according to the Nintendo financial briefing. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated that the "bitter" lesson learned by the 3DS launch has them taking extra precautions to ensure that the launch of the Wii U is a successful one.

For the first time in its history as a publicly traded company, Nintendo is forecasting an annual loss.

Nintendo's latest financial report shows that the company is forecasting an annual loss for the first time since they started making video games.

Nintendo to Post Major Financial Loss Rumor

The rumor mill predicts a loss of over a billion dollars over the second half of 2011.

Nintendo will post a loss of ¥100 billion tomorrow (approximately $1.31 billion), according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei. The loss is for the period of April 2011 through September 2011. According to the report, the loss is mostly attributed to the value of the yen against the Euro, and amounts for ¥40 billion of the rumored loss. In comparison, for the same period in 2010, Nintendo posted a loss of just over ¥4 billion.

Australian Bonuses for Super Mario 3D Land & Mario Kart 7 Revealed 3DS

These pre-order bonuses look pretty cool!

EB Games Australia has announced pre-order bonuses for both Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7.

Super Mario 3D Land will be offered with a plush Tanooki hat, while Mario Kart 7 will offer pre-orderers a plush Mario hat. These products, however, are not officially licenced by Nintendo.

Super Mario 3D Land will be available on November 24, with Mario Kart 7 launching sometime in December.

Nintendo Trademarks 'Circle Pad Pro' 3DS

The trademark indicates the likely name for the 3DS add-on in western markets.

Nintendo has registered two trademarks pertaining to their Circle Pad add-on for the 3DS: "Circle Pad Pro" and the Japanese language phrase for "Slide Pad Expansion."

Lavender Pink 3DS Coming to Australia 3DS

Japan's latest Nintendo 3DS colour, "Misty Pink", has been announced for an upcoming launch in Australia, to be released as "Lavender Pink".

The console colour will be available in stores starting from the 17th of November, giving just enough time to save up after buying one of these blushing babies to pick up Super Mario 3D Land on the 24th.

3DS Sequel to ThruSpace Arrives in Japanese eShop 3DS

ThruSpace is now in stereoscopic 3D.

Shissou Surinuke Anatousu, a new 3DS downloadable title, was announced by President Iwata at the Nintendo Direct Conference today, and is already available on Japanese eShop at 800 yen. This game is a sequel to the WiiWare title Surinuke Anatousu (also known as ThruSpace in North America), and was developed by the same developer, KeysFactory.

Mario Kart 7 Tracks, Karts, and Items Revealed 3DS

Many of Mario Kart 7's unlockables are revealed thanks to the Japanese Mario Kart website, along with my playtest earlier this week.

New Nintendo Wii Title Kikitrick Announced Wii

A little surprise from the conference was a mysterious game featuring mysterious sounds.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata casually announced a new Wii title by Nintendo, Kikitrick, during the Nintendo Direct Conference today. 

Very little was revealed about this title. According to Iwata, the theme of this "slightly weird" game is sounds, and the words "differentiate mysterious sounds" can be seen on the box art. Kikitrick will be released in Japan on January 19, 2012.

StreetPass map, new puzzle panels, and the sequel to Find Mii!

On the first streaming of the Nintendo Direct presentation, Sataru Iwata revealed that StreetPass Mii Plaza is going to be updated with new feaures and modes.

Kirby's Adventure Coming to 3D Classics 3DS

In November, people will be able to relive their earlier Dream Land experiences in 3D.

Kirby's Adventure is the next 3D Classic, according to Nintendo of Europe.

Set to come out in Europe on November 17 for €6, it is a 3D-enhanced version of Kirby's 1993 NES debut. A North American release hasn't been announced, but given how releases have been in the two regions, it is likely to come out in November.

Get ready to rock the original Kid Icarus in 3D! 

Kid Icarus is one of the next titles to be released for the 3D Classics series.
