The game's sole expansion will appear on the 3DS version, should the game come out.
The Binding of Isaac will include its first and only expansion, "The Wrath of the Lamb," in the planned 3DS version, Edmund McMillen mentioned in an e-mail exchange with Joystiq.
When asked about the 3DS version of the game, McMillen stated that it is being planned. "The only news I have on the 3DS is that it seems possible but it's still going through higher ups to make sure there won't be an issue with the 'religious' aspect," he said.

At the end of the year, Nintendo 3DS games remained strong sellers.
Mario Kart 7 and Monster Hunter 3G remained the top sellers at the end of 2011.
According to sales data by Media-Create, 4gamer and Geimin.net, for the week of December 26, 2011 until January 1, 2012, Mario Kart 7 sold 109,463 units for a total of 1,160,169 units since release. Following was Capcom's Monster Hunter 3G, which sold 100,042 units for a total of 985,490 copies.

Anyone want an adorable plushie Dream Eater?
Square Enix has revealed a new plush toy based on Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
The toy is based on Wonder Nyan, one of the Dream Eaters Sora and Riku can encounter and train to battle other Dream Eaters and enemies. Dream Drop Distance will have a wide variety of Dream Eater characters, but whether they will also be turned into plush toys has yet to be confirmed.

The 3D system that could is breaking sales records in Japan.
The 3DS broke Enterbrain's single-month sales record in December, according to Japanese website Sankei News.
Nintendo sold 1,492,931 3DS units in December, which broke Enterbrain's sales record, which began tracking in 1997. Enterbrain's sales coverage began on November 28 and ended on December 25. Nintendo's 3D system has claimed the top of the sales charts for seven months in a row.

Pikmin 3 is also mentioned as one of the titles being worked on.
Shigeru Miyamoto is working on an unnannounced, original title, the designer confirmed in an interview with Zoomin Games.
In the interview, Miyamoto talks about the legacy he has at Nintendo, explaining that many of the developers behind Super Mario 3D Land were once kids that grew up playing Mario games.

Defeat the undead with a giant slingshot, anvils, and more in the new download title for Wii.
Zombii Attack, published by Gamers Digital, is now available for download on WiiWare.
In the game, players mush defeat swarms of zombiis by flinging an assortment of projectiles at them with a large slingshot. There are 18 levels to conquer, which feature numerous destructible objects.
Zombii Attack retails for 500 Wii Points ($5).

Three new old games arrive this month.
Japanese Wii gamers will gain access to three new Virtual Console titles this month.
On Tuesday, January 10, Sengoku Deshou 2, a Neo-Geo beat-'em-up starts off the new year. Known simply as Sengoku 2 in the US, the SNK game will cost 900 Wii Points and is rated B.
Later in the month, Ganbare Goemon 2 from Konami will grace the download service. The Famicom action title will cost 500 Wii Points and is rated A.

Downloadable 3DS game updates are available now.
Updates to a number of eShop titles are now available. It is not clear what has been changed, so the updates are likely bug fixes.
Updates to a number of 3DS Download titles including 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure, Pushmo, Freakyforms, and Netflix are now available on the eShop. Several Virtual Console titles have also been updated, including Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Kirby's Dream Land, and Link's Awakening DX.

The reason as to why remains unclear.
Nintendo has asked Icon Games to take down their WiiWare sales numbers, Icon's head of development Richard Hill-Whittall noted in an editorial for Gamasutra.
Previously, we reported that Icon Games had released their sales numbers, which included numbers for their WiiWare efforts. Since then, Nintendo demanded Icon Games erase those numbers from publication.

Those eager to try out one of the biggest games for the 3DS can do so soon.
A Resident Evil: Revelations demo is set to make its debut in North America and Europe very soon, Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/Senior Vice-President for Capcom, confirmed.
Svensson noted that in North America they are awaiting Nintendo of America's approval before they can release it on the eShop. A release date for the demo will be announced after that.

The European eShop got this title last year, but Americans will not have to wait much longer.
Zen Pinball 3D is coming to the North American eShop next week.
Zen Pinball saw release on the European eShop in November 2011. American 3DS owners can plan on purchasing the game January 12, when it releases for $6.99.
The game includes four tables, but expect more to be released later via DLC. Zen Pinball features online leaderboards as well as a multiplayer mode.

Samurai and Zombies all in one week.
Nintendo's Download Services received four new games this week, however, the Wii's Virtual Console was once again left out.
This week the 3DS eShop received Samurai Sword Destiny. This hack-and-slash adventure sets female samurai, Akane, out into the world in search of her missing brother. Samurai Sword Destiny is available for $5.99.

An ad for the next Pokémon movie may be throwing hints of a possible Pokémon Gray, based on speculation by Pokebeach.com.
The ad for the 15th movie is featured in the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine, and amongst its headlines it states the following: “What mystery is hidden in Kyurem?” and “Kyurem’s unseen power will be revealed!”

Capcom confirms its support of the bill, while the ESA explains their backing.
The ESA released a statement explaining their backing of SOPA. Capcom also issued a statement confirming their support of the bill.

GlitterBerri has translated part of the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword manga.

Originally only available as DSiWare, the game finally made its eShop debut.
DSiWare game, Pinball Pulse, finally made its way to the 3DS eShop.
Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon was originally a DSiWare game that was unavailable on the 3DS at the eShop's launch. If you now search the eShop for the game, you can find and download the title for $4.99.
If you originally downloaded the title on your DSi, you can now transfer it over to your 3DS.
