Sales figures spark more insight into the near future of Wii U.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata recently discussed Wii U's future with Japanese website Sankei, saying the console's life is "not over yet," in the English translation.
Speaking with Sankei, he stated that more unannounced Wii U titles are due out from Nintendo in 2015. This comes after the announcement of the company's Q3 sales figures, which saw a rise in Wii U units sold, but a decline in 3DS sales.

Nintendo is in the black as far as profits go.
Nintendo has remained profitable in the third quarter ending December 31, but 3DS hardware sales are way down.

Going to the premier Smash Bros. tournament this weekend? You can play some Splatoon there, too.
Splatoon will be playable at APEX 2015 this weekend in the Nintendo Lounge.
Folks going to the event, taking place this weekend in Secaucus, N.J., can play the four-vs.-four multiplayer that was previously shown off at E3 2014. The version of Splatoon playable at APEX will be the same E3 build.

The latest game from Renegade Kid is coming to Nintendo platforms.
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, the latest game from developer Renegade Kid, is coming to both Wii U and 3DS.
According to studio co-founder Jools Watsham, Super Challenge is a brand-new game that comes with a whopping 40 levels. Additionally, he notes that "Mutant Mudds Super Challenge does not replace Mutant Mudds 2. Think of it as more of a delicious stepping stone of fun and challenge."

Nintendo was the number one publisher in France last year.
Thanks to the soaring popularity of games like Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as well as Amiibo, the house of Mario was able to dominate 2014. In fact, eight of France's top 20 selling games of last year were Nintendo-published titles.

For a limited time, North Americans will have to buy the game bundle if they want the new SMB Mario.
The new Mario figurine that's included in the recently unveiled Super Mario Bros. Amiibo line will be temporarily exclusive to the Mario Party 10 bundle in North America.
Over on Amazon, a listing for the upcoming Wii U party game confirmed the news. “For a limited time, the only way to play with the Mario Party Mario amiibo included!” the description for the bundle reads.

Wii U owners will be able to purchase and pre-download Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as well as Mario Party 10 ahead of release, Nintendo has confirmed.
If you head over to the company's online store, you can pre-order the digital version of Kirby's first proper outing on Wii U for $39.99. Meanwhile, Mario Party fans can pre-purchase a download code for the franchise's tenth installment at the price of $49.99 right here.

3DS owners won't have to wait much longer before they can play this new action adventure.
Gunman Clive 2 will launch on Nintendo 3DS on January 29, developer Bertil Hörberg confirmed on Twitter.
This sequel to the hit indie action adventure game of 2012 boasts a number of improvements over its predecessor, including better visuals that take advantage of the handheld's 3D in some unique and interesting ways. Gunman Clive 2 also boasts more bosses and dynamic level design.

Nintendo has announced today that Club Nintendo will be discontinued in Japan, North America and Europe, with another loyalty program being introduced later this year.

We already know it's launching in Japan this summer, but it looks like the rest of the world may be getting in 2015 too!
The newly-announced Fire Emblem title for Nintendo 3DS is apparently launching in more than just Japan in 2015.
According to an email sent out by Nintendo of Australia, the next entry in Intelligent Systems' popular strategy series will be out before year's end. We already know the game is set to arrive in Japan this summer, so it's reasonable to believe it'll be available in other parts of the globe this year too.

Next Tuesday, high-end figure manufacturer First 4 Figures will be opening pre-orders for the first statue in their new line of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker figures. Believe it or not, it's Ganondorf.
First 4 Figures statues are always limited edition and numbered. Since Wind Waker Ganondorf is the first in the series, low numbers will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Time to bust out the 3DS Mask of Dual Stick Control!
Circle Pad Pro support has been confirmed for the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D on the Nintendo 3DS.
Owners of standard 3DS and 3DS XL hardware will be able to activate use of the Circle Pad Pro or Circle Pad Pro XL during loading screens.
The Circle Pad Pro and Circle Pad Pro XL are available through the Nintendo Online Store.

Europeans everywhere can watch their Nintendo related shows on the go!
Nintendo of Europe will release a new streaming service for the Nintendo 3DS. This is what Satoru Shibata, NoE president, announced during yesterday's Nintendo Direct.
The service is called the Nintendo Anime Channel and will feature episodes of Pokemon, Inazuma Eleven and Kirby. According to Shibata, the application will updated on a regular basis and is completely free to enjoy.
