Some weeks it really pays to be a Nintendo gamer. This week is definitely one of them. Between Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara finally coming to the Wii U and the oddly intriguing Giana Sisters, I'm going to have my hands full. And when I'm done with both of those, I can unwind with a cold drink and some RECCA.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero needs your help!
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, a new title in the Shantae series, has been announced as WayForward's previously-teased Kickstarter project.
The game, set to take place after the events of the upcoming 3DS title Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, will feature a completely new HD art style. Should the project be funded, Half-Genie Hero will launch on all current and next gen systems, including Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and Steam.

The Wii U eShop gets some love this week with even more downloadable titles.
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and Spot the Differences: Party! are heading to the Wii U eShop this Thursday, September 5.
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams has been available on other platforms for some time now and even made its way to the European eShop last month. The game, a sequel to Giana Sisters DS, initially began as a Kickstarter campaign last year.

Some classic Pokémon have new power!
Professor Sycamore, the Professor of the Kalos region, will be giving Pokémon players the Kanto starter Pokémon (Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur) in Pokémon X and Y. Additionally, the Kanto starter Pokémon's final forms (Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur) will all have new Mega evolutions.
The new starters, Froakie, Fennekin, and
Chespin, will be given to players by a close in-game friend before they
meet Professor Sycamore.

Today is a good day. Everything is good.
It was revealed earlier this morning, during the Pokémon Direct, that the two new special edition Pokémon 3DS XLs will be coming to North America and Europe on September 27.
There will be a red one and a blue one. Both will have an MSRP of $199.99. The hardware will feature the flagship Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y.

Two services for transporting your Pokémon to an online storage service, Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter (Pokémover in Japan), have been in the works and are planned to be released this year.

Better late than never!
Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara will finally be coming to the Wii U eShop on September 5 in North America and September 12 in Europe, as announced by Capcom.
The game, which was originally slated to release earlier this year along with versions on other consoles, is an enhanced compilation of Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara.

The draw of Murfy's GamePad antics proves to be too much to resist.
Rayman Legends has sold more copies on Wii U than on any other platform since going on sale on August 30 in the UK, according to the latest Chart-Track figures.
The Wii U version reportedly accounted for about 45% of the retail sales of the limbless legend's latest platformer, which was formerly pegged as a Wii U exclusive until it was delayed earlier this year to enable multi-platform support.

Wii U will become even mightier this October.
WayForward have announced that the Nintendo 3DS eShop game, Mighty Switch Force 2, will be coming to the Wii U sometime in October.
The game was rated for the Wii U by the European ratings board PEGI back in July, just after WayForward teased the existence of the port.
The game was originally released for the Nintendo 3DS eShop back in June.

The fan favorite developer is about to join the world of Kickstarter.
WayForward Technologies have announced on their website that they will be launching a Kickstarter campaign on September 4.
Currently, not much is known about the proposed campaign other than the date it is set to go live. WayForward have also launched a countdown timer on their website for the project's launch date.

Pokémon finally rumbles its way to the Wii U.
Another week, another download. This time around the titles are few, but they are most certainly quality. I can't speak to Pokémon Rumble U, but every other game you'll see badly summarized below is definitely worth your hard earned coins! Plus, Rayman Legends finally decided to show its ugly mug on the Wii U, but I just can't stay mad at a game that's so happy. Seriously, practically every single creature in the game is singing and dancing.

Nintendo didn't forget about Zelda fans that already own a Wii U.
GameStop will be offering a Ganondorf figure with certain physical copies of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
This figure is going to be bundled in the game's packaging and is likely limited edition. This special bundle does have a premium cost of $54.99, five dollars more than the standard edition.
