Developer Saturnine Games submitted the 2D platformer to Nintendo for release.
Turtle Tale, a platformer coming to the 3DS eShop, is set for a spring release, as long as the game gets through Nintendo's internal testing without any hitches.
The 2D platformer follows Shelldon, a mean-looking, water gun-wielding turtle who is on a quest to reclaim Turtle Island from Captain O'Haire and his gang of pirates.

Is an oil change mini-game in the works for Mario Kart 8?
Nintendo of America and Pennzoil are working on a cross-promotion of Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U and Pennzoil's Platinum Motor Oil.
There will be a go-karting event inspired by Mario Kart 8 at the South By Southwest festival, March 7, called “Mario Karting Reimagined.”
A promotional website, motoroilremagined.com will be launching on March 5.

Picross e4 is heading to North America and Europe in April, according to publisher/developer Jupiter.
It was first released on the Japanese eShop last November, and will join the three previous games in the series, which are all currently available worldwide.

Fix 'em up.
A USB Memory Repair Program is being offered to fix errors in Dragon Quest X via the Wii Shop Channel in Japan.
It has been rolled out to fix problems with the game's installation error code DQ-100-822-X. When updating from the Internet or installing from additional packages, error messages stating there is insufficient USB memory are possible, when that may not be the case.

What is the famed studio working on next?
Retro Studios has begun work on their next project.
Speaking with gaming website GameSpot, Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe stated that the studio, developers of the recent Donkey Kong Country games, Mario Kart 7, and the Metroid Prime series, has begun work on their next project. While this project has been in development for the last few months, Tanabe would not comment further on the specifics of the game.

Keeping things runnin’ smoothly.
The Wii U and 3DS received system updates earlier this week. Changes were small, and both focused on improvements to system stability and software compatibility.
Released on February 24, Wii U upgraded to version 4.0.3 U. The console hasn’t seen an update since mid-November last year, which closely followed the system’s major upgrade to version 4 in late September.

Hopefully you’re still busy with Bravely Default because this week’s releases won’t exactly knock your socks off. A discount on Knytt, a promising new puzzler, and a Kunio Kun game are the highlights. At least the Virtual Console got something, even if it is just a dusty ‘ol brawler.

The Nintendo Video service on the 3DS will come to an end on March 31, according to Nintendo. This news hits right on the heels of the Wii and DS Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection shutting down.
This means only one more month of access to any Nintendo Video content on your 3DS. No reason was stated for the abrupt conclusion of the service.

The Caped Crusader is returning to the Wii U!
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition has been announced for the Wii U.
Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS in October 2013, the game will now see an HD, digital-only release for the Wii U and other systems in North America on April 1 for $19.99, and in Europe on April 2 for £15.99.
