The remaster will bring a new epilogue to Shulk's story.
Nintendo opened a Direct Mini with some big RPG news.
The Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will launch on May 29. The remastered version will include a special "Future Connected" epilogue following the game, as well as some re-recorded music tracks.
It can be preloaded today, and a version with a 250-page artbook will also be available worldwide. Europe will also receive an edition with a vinyl version of the soundtrack.

Tomorrow, a really great roguelike with awesome customizable difficulty gets a whole lot bigger.
Tangledeep on Switch came out more than a year ago on Switch, but on March 26, a sizable content update will add the Legend of Shara expansion pack ($8 on PC) for free, as well as an additional paid expansion and a plethora of tweaks and bug fixes.
The game's lead developer Andrew Avera noted that "nearly 50%" of the game's revenue comes from the Switch release, which is what motivated the free expansion being offered on Switch.

The Canadian eShop has, perhaps inadvertently, revealed a surprise release for tomorrow.
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, announced to be coming to the Switch last fall, has appeared on the Canadian Switch eShop's coming soon section with a release date of tomorrow. The game is listed for $25.19 Canadian, which would translate to a $19.99 US price tag. No comparable listing is on the US or European stores.

Aside from the presidential simulation of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, the headliner releases this week in terms of price are One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 (the latest misadventures of the manga/anime that started running when I was in high school), and Railway Empire which is probably coming out at a bad time, all things considered.

Sea of Stars is the next game from Sabotage Studios, the team behind 2018's The Messenger.

A smaller scale world exploration game.
Hello Games, the makers of Joe Danger and No Man's Sky, are about to make their Nintendo debut.
The Last Campfire is a game set in the wilderness in which the player character meets strange and mystical creatures as they try to light the last campfire there. It will release on Switch in the summer.

During today's Indie World Showcase, Hidetaka Suehiro (better known as SWERY) announced that his most recent project, The Good Life, would be coming to Switch sometime in 2020. In the town of Rainy Woods, which is hiding an important secret, you change from a person into a dog or a cat at night time. You need to talk to people and solve puzzles along the way as you work to uncover all that's happening around you.

The musical maestros of Q are bringing another one home.
After Monsters 2, the next Q Games joint for Switch will have a lot of rhythm.
PixelJunk Eden 2 will launch on Switch in the summer. It is a rhythm game where the objective is to blast invading creatures and regrow a garden, set to the music of Baiyon.
Eden 2 will also have local multiplayer options.

From Graffiti Games and Robi Studios comes Blue Fire, a 3D platformer with action-packed combat and physics-based challenges. Today's Indie World presentation showed off the first look at gameplay, which highlighted dark worlds with nasty and imposing creatures to battle against. We also saw misty forests, ominous-looking bridges, lava-filled passages, and wall-jumping segments "in a strange place called the Void."

The follow-up of the dungeon shooter is shadowdropping.
The Switch is about to depart the most gun-laden dungeon ever.
Dodge Roll Games and Devolver Digital's Exit the Gungeon was announced as hitting the Switch today in the Indie World showcase. The followup to Enter the Gungeon, Exit is a multiplayer-capable side-scrolling shooter with a huge ammo count.

Test out the six different characters in the Switch demo coming in advance of the April launch.
Trials of Mana is getting a demo, due out on the Switch eShop on March 18.
The demo will allow players to pick from the six different playable characters and experience the opening hour and a half of the game, all the way up until the Fullmetal Hugger boss fight. For a tease of what will be in the demo, check out our hands-on preview.

A classic PC game thought to have lost source code is going to come to Switch this year.
Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition, a 1997 point-and-click PC adventure game developed by Westwood Studios, will release on Switch sometime in 2020. Although not an adaptation of the 1982 Ridley Scott film, the events of the game take place alongside the events of the film.

The LEGO tease a couple of days ago was for a new type of figure featuring our beloved plumber.
LEGO and Nintendo officially announced a partnership for the Mario series today, showing off new figures that interact. Launching later this year, Mario will collect coins by interacting with other LEGO playsets themed around the series, while playing several iconic sound effects.
