Does it make Toast?

Nice shot of a DC Dev Kit! Cool.

I tend to get a lot of interesting e-mails working here (midget porn, damn chain letters, etc) but this one takes the cake. I really don't know why someone would send it to me. Granted it's not Dolphin...or Nintendo that matter, but...er...I thought it was cool. Want to know what a Dreamcast Development Kit looks like? Well here you go! Where do you put the bread? Does it make Mochas? It just makes you wonder what the Dolphin Development kits look like. Personally I think it looks pretty sweet! I don't have a problem with a vertical design either. And not that flip up PS2 jive either...

We knew Alone in the Dark was coming to GBC. Could it be headed to GBA too? Sure sounds like it!

Pocket Studios, makers of the upcoming handheld version of the Playstation Alone In The Dark game, have hinted to FGNonline about possible advancements that the GBA could bring to the franchise.

"Here's what we have planned to date, characters could be texture mapped polygons like in the original. We could increase the number of backgrounds in the game through compression. Combat could be restored to the adventure section with GBA. The music and SFX would be dramatically improved and we could implement the torch in the game, which would heighten fear and tension. AVI movies could also tell the story instead of static screens. This is just a taste of the improvements that could be implemented."

Yamauchi on Crack?GBA

Well that maybe harsh, but Yamauchi had a few confusing words for the Nikkei Industrial Daily regarding GBA and Dolphin.

Well that maybe harsh, but it seems that Yamauchi had a few words for Japanese newspaper the Nikkei Industrial Daily. Rather confusing too. Dolphin less important to Nintendo than the GBA? Could Nintendo really be changing their focus? Seeing is the Gameboy is Nintendo's sure fire winner (big freakin' cash cow), this news doesn't surprise me. It alarms me conciderably though. As well as this makes me a little concerned about how much will be shown at Spaceworld. But since Dolphin and GBA will interact...I'm not too scared. Here's the juice...and let us know what you think!

A quick list of N64, GBC, and GBA (werd) games that we will be seeing at Spaceworld!

Nothing yet on the Dolphin front but here's a quick list of N64, GBC, and GBA (werd) games that we will be seeing at Spaceworld. 2 things on this list just grab me, shake me around, and scream "Who's yo Daddy". Mario Tennis for GBC (there better damn well be one more use for the Transfer Pak), and Mario Kart for the GBA. Those two right there are worth keeping an eye on! More Tennis and Kart....am I the only one drooling here?

Stay Tuned to PlanetN2000 for complete Spaceworld Coverage. Can you believe it's less than a month away? Thanks to Gamefan for the Translated list.

BAM (Bay Area Multimedia, Inc.) is making sure that there'll be some sports games for kids on Dolphin and GBA.

Yeah, I know no ones worries about Dolphin having games for kids, but just to be on the safe side, game developer BAM (Bay Area Multimedia, Inc.) is making sure that there'll be some sports games aimed directly at younger gamers. Their website may not have much yet, but in the IEMA Executive Summit Supplement to the 7/17 issue of Gameweek Magazine they have an ad with some of their upcoming projects shown. On the schedule for 2001, Sports Illustrated for Kids Baseball, Basketball, and Football games for both Dolphin and AGB. Yeah, you know you want them!

It's been rumored that a Star Wars RPG has been in the works and today LucasArts confirmed it. What's this have to do with Dolphin? Maybe nothing, or maybe (hopefully) we'll see it.

More stuff from our friends at IGN64. It's been rumored that a Star Wars RPG has been in the works and today LucasArts confirmed it. What's this have to do with Dolphin? Maybe nothing, or maybe (hopefully) we'll see it. IGN64 got the usual vague answer when they asked a LucasArts rep. Still, there's a ray of hope for Star Wars fans like myself to sit in front of my Dolphin and kick some hippie-Jedi butt with a Sith lord. None of that standing above the hanging Padawan taunting stuff for me...nope, take Qui-Gon's light saber, light it up, and drop it right on the Obi-wan's head. >) See ya young Padawan! Anyway, you know the drill, click on the related link to get the full scoop.

The big boys over at IGN64 have the highlights of a recent interview with Nintendo head honcho Hiroshi Yamauchi. As usual, Yamauchi-san says some controversial things, this time taking a shot at PS2 (what else is new) and developers who continue to create unoriginal game ideas. Also, for the the millionth time, he mentions how Dolphin and AGB will work together in new, unique ways. Click on the related link to check it out if you haven't already.

Again, the Radar MalfunctionsGC

DailyRadar may have made a mountain out of a molehill in their latest blunder of an article.

Ahh, our good old friends at DailyRadar... how they continue to prove that they must not have a single person interested in Nintendo in the bunch. Or, I could be wrong, they could just be a bunch of idiots who don't bother to look into their info before posting their drivel.

Why is it that people equate the site with a pitifully predictable cog in the PS2 hype machine? Could it be the history of pathetic chest-thumping articles from Dan Eggar produced on almost a weekly basis trying to prove, yet again (and again, and again), why the PS2 is the second coming? Or is it that when something positive does manage to creep it's way out of Nintendo's deliberately-imposed wall of darkness they treat it with such poor coverage? What the hell, let's just say it is both.
