The Wii U Virtual Console is live in Japan with ten titles. All four of the games from the previously released Famicom 30th Anniversary are available as well. The launch lineup for the Wii U Virtual Console is:

  • Ice Climber (Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Excitebike (Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Spelunker (Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Xevious (Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku Sore Yuke Dai Undōkai (Kunio-kun beat ‘me up, Famicom) - 500 yen
  • F-Zero (Super Famicom) 800 yen
  • Super Mario World (Super Famicom) - 800 yen
  • Chō Makai Mura (Super Ghouls'n Ghosts, Super Famicom) - 800 yen
  • Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu (Super Famicom) - 900 yen
  • Mario no Super Picross (Mario’s Super Picross, Super Famicom) - 800 yen

The titles that were already available as part of the special promotion in Japan were the following: 

  • Balloon Fight (Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo (Super Famicom) - 900 yen
  • Mother 2 (Earthbound, Super Famicom) - 900 yen
  • Hoshi no Kirby: Yume no Izumi no Monogatari (Kirby’s Adventure, Famicom) - 30 yen (500 yen after the sale)

The titles slated for release next week on May 1 are listed below:

  • Solomon no Kagi (Solomon’s Key, Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Rockman 3: Dr. Wily no Saigo!? (Mega Man 3, Famicom) - 500 yen
  • Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe (Kirby Super Star, Super Famicom) - 800 yen

I would've upgraded SGnG in a second. :/

I don't think I ever bought Super Ghouls & Ghosts on the Wii, though I was always somewhat interested. With save states on Wii U I'd definitely cough up the $8.
