As the Nintendo World Report staff prepares for E3, they find some time to make a few predictions.
This E3 should have a very different tone from the past two year's E3s. I'm most excited because I will be in attendance for the first time ever. I'm glad that the first time I go it'll be crazy again.
I'm kind of stumped about what I expect to be there that hasn't been announced. If I had to guess, my money would be on seeing Miyamoto's next brainchild, which I expect to be a new IP that uses Wii MotionPlus.
I have a feeling we will see more information about Pikmin 3, possibly for a late 2009/early 2010 release with New Play Control! Pikmin 2 coming out before it, most likely in the late summer. Either Mario or Zelda will make a Wii appearance. I'd say we'll be teased with a new Wii Zelda game and it'll come out next year. I also expect to see Mario Party 9 or another WarioWare game that makes use of MotionPlus.
For DS, we'll probably see more of Spirit Tracks and some DSi stuff. They had better have a killer app that takes advantage of the DSi's features. Also, Professor Layton 2 had better get a set release date, and the same with Mario & Luigi 3.
My hope of hopes is that Factor 5 is working on a new Star Fox game, or that StarTropics makes a return. Put Next Level Games on StarTropics Wii, since they did an amazing job with Punch-Out!!
