In case you didn't know, WayForward's Mighty Switch Force is available on the North American eShop for a $3 discount, bringing its normal $6 price down to $3. The sale began at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET today, and will run until 9 p.m. PT/12 a.m. ET on July 15/16.
This game is the fourth "Game of the Weekend" sale that Nintendo of America is doing for the 3DS eShop. The first three games were Super Mario Land, VVVVVV, and Sakura Samurai.

The Legend of Heroes series may be coming to Nintendo 3DS, according to Andriasang.com.
The site's claim, though unverified, comes from a seasonal company report from series developer Falcom.
"The [Legend of Heroes] series has been limited to PSP, but starting next term it will be offered on 3DS and a variety of other targets," the report states.

Pre-order it from select retailers and get a soundtrack in addition to the art book.
The Last Story will finally come to North America on August 14 and retail for $49.99, according to IGN.
Additionally, Xseed revealed that people who pre-order the game at GameStop, EB Games Canada, and Amazon.com will receive a seven-song soundtrack, containing songs from the game's score composed by Final Fantasy vet Nobuo Uematsu, as a pre-order bonus. The first run of the game is already set to come in special packaging with an art book.

The blue bomber's original adventure for the Famicom is coming to Japan!
The Famicom version of Rockman, known as Mega Man in the West, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on July 18 in Japan for 500 yen.
This marks the first third-party Famicom title to appear on the eShop. After the release of Rockman, there will be a total of eight Famicom titles on the eShop in Japan.

The scope of the project is so large that people behind some of Namco's major franchises have stepped in to help.
The next Super Smash Bros. game, which will be a collaborative effort between Nintendo and Namco Bandai, has taken top priority at Namco, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed in an interview with NowGamer.
"Obviously it’s a big priority for the company," Harada ellaborates further, "so company-wide there are a lot of people involved with that particular project. Not just from Tekken but a lot of our franchises. "

The Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will use the GamePad in a far simpler manner.
The Wii U's GamePad could be potentially distracting for fighting games, Tekken series leader Katsuhiro Harada recently told Eurogamer in an interview.
Harada feels that for fighting games, the Wii U's GamePad could distract gamers during a match. Due to this, the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will use it in a simpler manner.

Mario's Assist Block power-up from Super Mario 3D Land returns, among other gold-tinged power-ups.
White Tanooki Mario returns in New Super Mario Bros. 2 as the game's Assist Block, according to Famitsu.
The power-up first appeared in Super Mario 3D Land, making Mario invincible for the rest of the level. Like 3D Land, the Assist Block containing a Golden Leaf appears after you die five times in the same spot. It is unknown if there will be any other additional boosts other than invincibility from the suit in New Super Mario Bros. 2.

The developer's website promises to krash kart racing together with elements of platforming game play later this summer.

Sparkle Snapshots 3D is coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe this week on July 12.
A sequel to Sparkle Snapshots on DSiWare in 2009, Sparkle Snapshots 3D allows users to decorate their 2D photos with 3D frames, backgrounds and original 3D stamps. Users will be able to share their creations with their friends wirelessly. The game will also feature Mario-themed DLC including a Mario Core Set as well as a Mario Kart 7 set.

His name is Swarm and he is a giant bee.
Swarm, the new Air Giant Skylander, was revealed in this month's Nintendo Power.
The character, which appears to be an anthropomorphic bee, is a bee prince who grew so large that he could not fit in his honeycomb pyramid kingdom. Naturally, that means he had to go fight the good fight with his fellow Skylanders.
