The Avengers just hit the big screen, and now a game is on its way.
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, a motion-controlled action game, is coming to Wii U this year, according to The Washington Post.
Ubisoft recently filed a trademark for Avengers: Battle for Earth, but at the time no game announcement was made. A few days later, we have learned that the game is coming to Nintendo's upcoming console, the Wii U, and also Kinect.

The game's director admits the original script relied heavily on Japanese cultures and phrases.
Kid Icarus: Uprising's acclaimed script may have originally spawned from Director Masahiro Sakurai's pen, but Nintendo of America's localization team was allowed a lot of flexibility, according to Sakurai in an interview with IGN.

Fans should not lose hope, however.
A sequel to Kid Icarus: Uprising is not in development or planning stages, says director Masahiro Sakurai.
In an email interview with IGN, when asked "if he and his Project Sora team had created such a rich, lasting universe so that it could easily be returned to in future projects," Sakurai said "If by ‘lasting universe’ you mean to ask if there's a sequel, the answer is no.”

Another hint for Runner 2, formally known as Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, was given on the game's development blog.
After introducing Timbletot, a robot-like creature, Gaijin Games made the following remark: "Wii have a few fun little updates coming for U, so keep your EYES out!!!"

Over 30 million Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure toys have been sold as of March 31, 2012 according to the Activision Blizzard Q1 2012 financial conference call. In addition, the game was the third-best seller across all platforms in Q1 when taking accessory sales into account. It was the best-selling kids title in the quarter.

Sonic Labyrinth for Game Gear and Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku Dokodemo Dai Undokai for Game Boy will arrive on the eShop in Japan on May 16 and retail for 300 yen and 400 yen respectively.
Sonic Labyrinth is a puzzle game that was originally released in 1995 on the Game Gear where players guide Sonic through the pinball-like arena to locate hidden keys.

This legendary Pokémon can be obtained in either Black or White version.
A Darkrai Wi-Fi event scheduled to begin May 9 has become available to English copies of the game one day early.
The Level 50 Darkrai can be received in both Pokémon Black and White. In addition, the Pokémon knows the Bad Dreams ability, and the moves Dark Void, Ominous Wind, Faint Attack, Nightmare and also holds an Enigma Berry. The Pokémon itself is a tie-in to the English language release of trading card set Dark Explorers.

Isn't this so infuriating?
GameStop will not allow trade-ins for Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir, as reported by NintendoLife.
The move was made in regards to the game's reliance on a book included with the cartridge. Any tampering with the book, whether it be a total disappearance of or destroyed pages, would likely result in game progress becoming impossible. To prevent such situations, GameStop has issued a total refusal of trade-ins for the game.

Join Finn and Jake on adventure to find stolen trash.
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?! was officially announced for both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS through a press release today.
An Adventure Time game was teased over Twitter by the shows creator this past March. At the time we knew the game was coming to the DS, but not whether it was heading to the 3DS. Now the game is officially heading to both systems later this year during the fall.

Could we be seeing a new RE game on 3DS this year?
A new Resident Evil game, tentatively titled Resident Evil: Degeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D, might be coming to 3DS later this year. This news supposedly came from an article on Digital Spy, which has since been removed.
Two of the subtitles for the game are references to movies that would be available on the game cartridge. The last, Downfall, would be a new game in the Resident Evil series.

While the PlayStation Vita is a very capable device, its lack of a strong software lineup is hurting the handheld's prospects for the future, according to Shigeru Miyamoto in a recent interview with Edge magazine.
"It's obviously a very hi-spec machine, and you can do lots of things with it, but I don't really see the combination of software and hardware that really makes a very strong product."

Art of Balance TOUCH! is scheduled to release on the North American eShop in early June, according to the game's developer, Shin'en.
We recently learned that Art of Balance TOUCH! was heading to Europe on May 24. After reaching out to the developer, we got the following response: "Art of Balance TOUCH will come to America shortly after the EU release in early June."

The game has been done for months according to the developer, but who knows when it will actually come out.
UPDATE 5/7/12: An Atari rep responded to us, saying "the official launch date has yet to be announced." The original story follows below:
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is getting pushed back another month to June 19, according to GameStop.
The game was last set for a May 22 date according to retailers, and a late spring release according to publisher Atari. Before that, it was announced for an early 2012 date.

The people behind Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country Returns may be working with their third Nintendo franchise.
Texas-based Retro Studios could be working on a Star Fox game for Wii U to be revealed at this year's E3, according to a rumor on Techtroid.
The source told the site that while the game is indeed being worked on and will be revealed at E3, it will not be a launch title for the system. They cite Retro as saying that "It's a project everyone wants us to do."
