Time to get your brawl on with Billy Lee!
Sega’s 3D classic continue to bring the heat this week with two more entries, and Nintendo saw fit to grace the Virtual Console with Double Dragon. It’s not quite up to par with some of the deluges of eShop content we’ve seen in the recent past, but it’s a respectable offering. We’re also looking forward to two more Sega 3D classics next week!

One of the greatest SNES games is making its way to a GamePad near you.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is hitting the European eShop on the Wii U this Thursday.
Highly regarded as one of the best titles in the series, A Link to the Past introduced many elements that have come to define the series.
The game will cost €7.99 or £5.49, and there is currently no word yet on a North American release date.

It's a secret to everybody... or a marketing snafu.
The recent Miiverse update has revealed an image which may signify upcoming SNES releases on the 3DS Virtual Console service. When the Miiverse community page for the Wii U Virtual Console release of Contra III: The Alien Wars is loaded on the 3DS Miiverse application, the game is shown running on a 3DS XL in the header.

Nintendo has released System Software version 7.0 for Nintendo 3DS, which includes Miiverse support in addition to several other features. Notably, the system update allows users to link a Nintendo Network ID they've already established on Wii U, or create a new Nintendo Network ID. This functionality allows players with Wii U and 3DS to share a common wallet across the eShop on both systems.

Nintendo has announced a National StreetPass Weekend for December 14 and 15 in North America.
For two days, all Nintendo Zones throughout Canada and the United States will communicate with each other, mixing up the StreetPasses they receive and redistributing them to other Nintendo Zones. This means players can receive passes from all over the continent, filling in their map and logging more players from even more areas than ever before.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be released for Wii U on February 21, 2014, as announced during the recent VGX awards show.
In addition to a release date for the previously delayed 2D platformer, Nintendo and Retro Studios unveiled the title's fourth playable character to be Cranky Kong, the grandfather of the titular Donkey Kong who was previously teased via a leaked image of the game's box art.

Reggie Fils-Aime, the president and chief opperating officer of Nintendo of America will be at Spike's 2013 VGX to show a Wii U game.

Not gonna lie, this trailer looks pretty badass.
Batman: Arkham Origins will receive the previously announced Initiation downloadable content today, according to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The Initiation DLC includes four challenge maps and the Initiation Bruce Wayne and Vigilante Bruce Wayne skins. The add-on can be downloaded on all consoles for $6.99 while players who have purchased the Season Pass for Arkham Origins can access the content instantly for free.

So the rumors are true!
A Mario and Luigi themed 3DS XL is now available in stores and comes with Mario and Luigi: Dream Team pre-installed. The bundle has a suggested retail price of $199.99.
The limited edition console features line illustrations of the brothers running on the outside of the console against a silver background.
