Will the 3rd time be the charm for the indie hit releasing on a Nintendo platform?
Although Super Meat Boy released today on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, the door may be open to the title coming to the Wii U.
In the announcement post for the game's release today, Team Meat left this quote at the bottom of the post: "To the fan's we're still excluding I'll leave you with this: Wii haven't forgotten about U."

Spy on your friends, check out map rotations and mor(ay)!
A previously Japan-only feature of Splatoon has come west in the form of the new Splatnet.
Accessible at splatoon.nintendo.net, the website functions with a NNID and allows you to see who on your friends list is playing the game, and make "battle plans" to jump into the fight. Players can also see their equipment, get ranking percentages and see the current map rotations as well as for the next two rotations.

We are running out of hours in the year 2016 to play all the RPGs.
Famitsu has announced a new game in the Shin Megami Tensei IV universe will release in just a few months.
The magazine announced Shin Megami Tensei IV FINAL will release for the 3DS in Japan on February 10, 2016. Unlike previous "Final" versions of main-series Shin Megami Tensei games, which were reissues of prior games with additional content, this is a brand new game with a completely different set of characters.

Top men hopefully working on a fix for some other unpleasantness as well.
Nintendo of Europe has announced the next Splatoon weapon, set to unlock tonight in North America and tomorrow for the rest of the world.
The Carbon Roller Deco is a modified Carbon Roller with similar stats, but a different look and sub/special weapon combo. The Deco packs Seekers as the subweapon and a Bomb Rush special to allow for ranged damage while rolling.

As rumored, the (board) games begin in early November
The last piece of Nintendo's North American holiday lineup has fallen into place.
Nintendo of America announced on their social media channels today that Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival will release on November 13, as previously rumored. The package in stores will have a MSRP of US$59.99/C$69.99, and will come with the Isabelle and Digby Amiibo, plus Amiibo cards for Stitches, Goldie and Rosie.

We don't even know when the first wave will launch outside of Japan officially, and they've got Wave 2.
Nintendo has given release details for the Japanese version of Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, as well as more Amiibo for the title.
The game and first round of Amiibo will release on November 21 in Japan, in a bundle package for 6100 yen. A second wave of compatible Amiibo, consiting of Mr. Resetti, Blathers, Celeste and Kicks will launch on December 17.

The new Smash updates are now live and have added two new stages for each version with new Mii costumes.
Both the Wii U and 3DS versions can now purchase the Super Mario Maker stage as previously announced. The Wii U version can also purchase an updated version of the Pirate Ship (Wind Waker) stage from Super Smash Bros Brawl, while the update automatically adds the Wii U's Duck Hunt stage to the 3DS edition at no cost.

You probably guessed it already.
Nintendo will be serving up tennis in a spot abandoned by space.
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash has been dated for November 20, slotting into the slot originally slated for the delayed Star Fox Zero. The game's page on Nintendo.com also list the game's MSRP at US$49.99.
The game was previously dated for 20 November in Europe and 21 November in Australia as well.

One day to get your stars out, a few days to vote for Chie
A couple of long-standing Nintendo institutions will be coming to an end this week.
The first to end is Club Nintendo, which will end in all territories outside of North America tomorrow night (local time). Users in Europe, Australia and Japan have a short time left to use what stars or points are left on the account, following the closure of North America’s Club Nintendo on June 30.

The next couple of weeks will be jumpy for the eShop.
The next couple of weeks will feature speed and exploration in the eShop updates.
Following the squashing of a crash bug and an inadvertent, temporary release on the eShop GalaxyTrail announced today on Twitter that Freedom Planet will release this Thursday. The Sonic-inspired title was a part of the Nindies @ Home E3 promotion, and will have a discount from its price of US$14.99 for the first month of sale.

One Shadow Dragon and two Awakening characters join the fray.
The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed two new playable characters for the game currently known as Genei Ibunroku #FE, as well as three of the game's summonable Mirages.
The new playable characters are named Mamori Minamoto and Barry Goodman. Minamoto is a elementary school student who enjoys songs of Japan's Showa era, while Goodman is a retired Western musician who trains the game's main character.

Nintendo of Europe is expanding the Nintendo Selects line to the portable realm.
Starting from 16 October, the line of discounted titles in the UK and Europe will add 3DS games to the existing Wii lineup. Nintendo Selects titles are traditionally sold at approximately £20, but pricing as always is determined by the retailers.

The demo's 10 days late, how long did the game get?
The latest release date for Mighty No 9 has been announced, and it isn't too far into 2016.
At a panel at the TwitchCon gaming convention in San Francisco, Comcept announced that the Kickstarter sensation's console versions (including Wii U) will release on February 9, about a six month delay from the previous September 15 release date. The demo promised to Kickstarter backers for the September 15 date was released after the presentation.
