The surreal Dreamcast classic might be headed to the handheld.
A port of the virtual pet simulation game Seaman might be on its way to the 3DS, according to an article in the online edition of Japan's Nikkei business newspaper.
The article, which focuses on Nintendo, mentions an initiative on the part of the company to revive other publisher's titles on the 3DS in order to provide the system with stronger games, and cites Seaman, one of the best-selling Dreamcast games in Japan, as an example.

The sales figures in Japan begin to show some depth.
Nintendo 3DS system sales in Japan have reached the five million mark, according to Media Create, as of February 19, 2012. The system launched in Japan on February 26, 2011.

It looks like we will see more support from the company on 3DS.
WayForward will be utilizing the 3DS's eShop as part of its handheld strategy, according to an interview with Gamasutra.
WayForward recently released Mighty Switch Force!, which received a good reception on the eShop. Previously the company supported Nintendo's downloadable services with other games such as Shantae Risky's Revenge and Mighty Flip Champs. It now appears that they will continue to develop games for the eShop service.

It appears that western 3DS owners can get their hands on the title starting later this year.
Monster Hunter 3G is being localized for both Europe and the US, as reported by EDGE.
The title is releasing in Europe during the third quarter of this year, and the United States will be recieving a localization at a currently unannounced date. The announcement was made in an article featuring the title, which was originally released in Japan in December of last year.

The koopa king joins other villains in a "bad guy support group."
Bowser, Zangief, Dr. Eggman, and Dr. Wily are making cameos in Disney's upcoming animated film, Wreck-It Ralph.

Some voice actors are already done.
North American voice work for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts game, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, is already underway according to some voice actors.
A report on khinsider.com revealed that Vincent Corazza, the voice of Zexion/Ienzo, had finished recording about 2 weeks ago.

The Atari and n-Space joint should only see a two-month delay.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D appears to be set for a May 22 release, according to various retailers, including Amazon.
Earlier this week, we reported that the game was on hold, as it was previously set for a March 2012 release. While we haven't gotten an official word from Atari yet, this retailer release date does add up to the previous news of a delay.

The decision follows the tribulations faced by the company over the previous months.
THQ Japan will close its doors and end all publishing business on February 29 , as reported by Impress Watch.
As a result of the closure, all staff will leave the company as it shuts down. These measures are seen as necessary following the troubles faced by THQ in North America. Although there is no word regarding the publishing of future THQ titles, the company has been known to license its titles to local companies.

Poor sales may cause the handheld to lose some major Japanese support.
Major Japanese developers may be dropping Vita support in favor of the 3DS, according to an anonymous source published on the Nikkei website.
In a story written by Kiyoshi Shin, former head of the Japanese branch of the International Game Developers Association, an unnamed source announces that "major Japanese companies are canceling all projects intended for the Vita and are changing development to the 3DS."

Square Enix cuts prices on DLC for a limited time.
The eight downloadable songs for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, which were originally set to sell for 150 yen each, are on sale for a limited time for 100 yen apiece. Square Enix says this is being done in commemoration of the game’s release but gave no specifics as to how long the songs would remain at this price.

You'll be able to play the game's opening segment before the game comes out.
The Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D demo is coming to the eShop in North America on Thursday, Konami announced.
The full game comes out on February 21, and is a 3DS port of the PlayStation 2 title. While it's unknown if the demo will support the Circle Pad Pro, the full game will. The peripheral came out in North America on February 7 as a GameStop exclusive.

The colt Pokemon will be the first of three revealed event creatures.
Keldeo will be the first "new" legendary revealed, as leaked in early images from the upcoming issue of CoroCoro magazine.
Although the Pokémon's existence was known beforehand alongside two others (full data about all event creatures exist inside of the games' coding), the article acts as the first official confirmation. Keldeo, the colt Pokemon, leads the Musketeer trio, which includes Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion.
