Looks like Richter and Maria are coming across the pond.
Late last month, a Virtual Console release of Konami's TurboGrafx-16 CD-ROM classic Castlevania: Rondo of Blood made an appearance in the listings of the Australian OFLC ratings board. Fans of the series hoped that this event heralded an imminent North American release, and it seems that their prayers have been answered.

There are seven games to choose from this week, starting with numero Uno.
There are seven new titles to choose from this week in Nintendo downloads.
First up on WiiWare is Uno, published by Gameloft. The classic card game has been brought to Wii with single-player, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer options. Uno is available on the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 Wii Points ($10).

The modified controller will be bundled with Monster Hunter Tri.
Today Capcom and Nintendo announced that the Classic Controller Pro, the redesigned version of the current Classic Controller, will be bundled in North America with Monster Hunter Tri. The controller was previously only available in Japan and Europe. The game is set to launch in America sometime after April 1, 2010 but no firm launch date has been announced.

Nintendo and Genius Sonority team up to bring a wide variety of novels to the Nintendo DS.
In the past, whenever Genius Sonority had partnered with Nintendo, the games were usually about Pokémon. While they did develop the well-received 100 Classic Book Collection for the Nintendo DS, their efforts with Nintendo have been somewhat limited to the Pokémon franchise.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom's producer talks about the characters that they wanted in the game.
In a web chat hosted by Capcom, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom producer Ryota Niitsuma talked about some of the Tatsunoko characters that were considered to be in the game.
The first of these were the Samurai Pizza Cats. Known as Catto Ninden Teyandee in Japan, Capcom were in talks with Tatsunoko about their inclusion, but ultimately fell through.

A second helping of Blob may be on the way.
In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, WayFoward's Sean Velasco stated that he would be interested in returning to A Boy And His Blob for a future project.
"Personally, I want to make a few small and crazy titles next," said Velasco, who directed the Majesco-published game. "Maybe some downloadable games? Another A Boy And His Blob game would also be amazing as the first one was such a great experience."

A Wii game sits atop the NPD Group's top ten most purchased games of the last fifteen years.
Since the NPD began tracking game sales for the United States in 1995, Wii Play has sold more copies than any other title. Other games exclusive to the Wii that made the top ten best-selling list include Wii Fit, which sits on the chart in fifth place, and Mario Kart Wii, which came in sixth.

Nintendo recently announced that they will be offering special pre-order bonuses for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Kaiyodo, a Japanese company well-known for making anime figurines, will be crafting the pre-order rewards. Those who pre-order Pokémon HeartGold will receive a figure of the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh. On the other hand, consumers who pre-order Pokémon SoulSilver will get a Lugia figurine.

The flagship title is the fastest Wii game to reach 3 million in sales.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold over three million copies in Japan in just seven weeks, making it the fastest selling Wii title yet released in the region.
Famtisu.com reported sales figures of 3,002,753 as of the week ending January 17, just seven weeks after the game was released on December 3.

The Wii-exclusive dancing game dethrones Modern Warfare 2 in the United Kingdom.
The latest UK best sellers chart reveals that Ubisoft's Wii title Just Dance is the top selling game, dethroning Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Activision's shooter had sat atop the chart for for nine weeks straight. In previous weeks Just Dance sat as low as number 100, but the game has seen a 114% rise in sales since its debut on the charts.

Ubisoft slashes its sales expectations for the upcoming action title.
Ubisoft has cut sales projections for Red Steel 2, due out in March 2010, in half from 1,000,000 to 500,000. This comes shortly after Ubisoft's "Avatar: The Game" sold under projected figures last month.

Outside of that, the company will focus on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the next fiscal year.
Ubisoft has announced that, for the next fiscal year, they will focus on more traditional, core titles, due to their casual portfolio shrinking by 50 percent, according to Gamasutra.
These titles include a new Assassin's Creed title, The Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and a fourth Raving Rabbids game.

The DS title will include all four Mega Man Zero games.
Capcom has announced Rockman Zero Collection (Mega Man Zero outside of Japan) for the Nintendo DS. It contains all four Game Boy Advance Mega Man Zero titles, a series that saw annual entries beginning in 2002 and running through 2005.
The Mega Man Zero series is the third series of Mega Man games, set 100 years after the Mega Man X series and starring X's sidekick Zero.
