To celebrate their 30th birthday, Konami shows a new skin.

Konami Corporation will renew its group brand logo design to mark its 30th anniversary on March 19th, 2003.

The new brand logo was chosen as Konami's internal and external brand identity to symbolize the expansion of Konami Group's business field and its scheduled shift to becoming a holding company. The new logo will take effect worldwide from April 1st, 2003.

The Nintendo-supported game development school is featured in a revealing full-length article.

The Feb. 20 issue of Rolling Stone magazine features a detailed look into DigiPen, the famous game development school located just down the street from Nintendo of America headquarters. The school has deep ties to Nintendo, and many graduates go on to be hired by NOA's internal development firm, Nintendo Software Technologies (which is run by the school's president, Claude Comair).

Who wants some two-second mini-games?

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream contains shocking new information on one of Nintendo's newest GBA titles, Made in Wario (the North American version is called Wario Ware, Inc., Mega Microgame$). Previously it was known that the game would be a collection of mini-games, but we didn't know what they would involve or what kind of structure tied them all together.

The AOU 2003 Amusement Expo kicked off today in Tokyo. The AOU is an annual event sponsored by the All Nippon Amusement Machine Operators' Union to show off the latest amusement machines including arcades, prizes, UFO catchers, and related equipment from several companies. Sega, Capcom, Konami, Sammy, Namco, and other well known entertainment companies were present at the show.

When they aren't torturing a poor GBA SP by setting it on fire, they're DISMEMBERING IT! Oh, the humanity!

How on earth did Nintendo cram the Game Boy Advance into this smaller size? Lik Sang was determined to find out, and find out they did.

There are some nice revelations to be had. First, the slick little baby-blue Lithium Ion battery is self contained and should be replaceable should it fail.

If you just spent $150 on an import GBA SP, what would you do? These jokers SET THEIRS ON FIRE!

Update: Lik Sang has pulled the "crash test", due to the outcry from customer who had yet to recieve their GBA SP units, while Lik Sang was destroying one.
