Mutant Mudds could be getting a physical copy release for 3DS according to a blog post by Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham.
Jools says that a physical copy release aimed at collectors is being looked into, and says that "The only way we will be able to make such a thing happen is to turn to kickstarter." He cites a DS Kickstarter, Diamond Trust of London, as an example of how it could work.

Nintendo of Canada says Kokuga cannot be sold in Canada in its current state.
Kokuga, the latest game from the director of Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun, Hiroshi Iuchi, is currently not available in Canada and likely won't be in its current state.
Kokuga launched on the North American 3DS eShop on June 27; however, 3DS owners living in Canada quickly noticed the top-down shooter’s absence from the eShop in their country.

Super Ubie Land will be hitting the Wii U eShop this fall according to a Tweet from Notion Games.
Super Ubie Land is a 2D platformer that ran in to some troubles with Ubisoft concerning the original name "Super Ubi Land." Luckily, they've renamed the game and are on track for a fall release.

Pokémon might be the only Nintendo franchise big enough to nab it's own trade show.
Pokémon is going to have a special trade show event, dubbed Pokémon Game Show, on August 17 and 18 in Japan.
The event, which is hosted at the Tokyo Big Sight location, will give gamers a chance to try out the upcoming Pokémon X/Y, a new arcade game called Pokémon Tretta and the Pokémon Card game.

UPDATE: Things are "business as usual" at Atlus.
Index, the parent company of Atlus, has announced that they are filing for bankruptcy.
While it's still too early to know exactly what's going to happen to Atlus, it does appear that Index is looking for a company to purchase it.
This is after recent news that Index has been under fire from authorities for "fabricated and inflated business practices," earlier this month.

The "claymation" adventure title passes its Wii U stretch goal.
Armikrog, the stop-motion point-and-click adventure game from Earthworm Jim creator Douglas TenNapel, will be released on the Wii U eShop, following the climax of its month-long Kickstarter campaign.
The crowd-funding campaign raised $974,578 in donations, passing the $950,000 Wii U stretch goal set by the game's California-based developer Pencil Test Studios.

Kokuga and more Sonic than you can shake a stick at!
More Game Gear love this week, and just a tiny sliver for the Wii U Virtual Console. In contrast Japan got Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy VI. So, just go to California and glare off the coast at them. They'll get the message. In other news, Kokuga is hitting the 3DS, so all you shmup fans out there should be satisfied, while the rest of us are patiently waiting for Chronicles of Mystara.

Better late than never, and with new Wii U features!
A Wii U version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure will release in Japan on July 12.
Originally released in October 2011 in other markets on Wii and 3DS, the Wii U version will feature off-TV play and use the GamePad for puzzle mini games.
The Wii, 3DS, and PS3 versions will also be releasing in Japan alongside the Wii U version.

Now supports up to 200 characters, in addition to other improvements.
A recent update to the Miiverse has increased the size of text posts to 200 characters.
This is an improvement over the previous 100 character limit. Other functionality has also been improved, allowing users to see all older posts in the popular posts category instead of limiting it to a certain time frame. This is welcome news after the recent addition of social media buttons.

Angry Birds Trilogy releases on the Wii and Wii U August 13.
Previously released on multiple platforms, including the 3DS, Angry Birds Trilogy features 3 Angry Birds games: Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. The collection also brings along new levels.

Gamers in Japan can get their hands on two top-notch Super Nintendo RPGs starting today.
Seiken Densetsu 2, known as Secret of Mana in the West, and Final Fantasy VI for the Super Famicom hit the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan today, June 26. Secret of Mana is selling for 800 yen while Final Fantasy VI goes for 900 yen. Both games support gameplay using the GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller, and Wii Remote and Classic Controller combination.

UPDATE: Nintendo has listed the release date as June 27
Kokuga, the shoot-'em-up from G.Rev and Ikaruga creator Hiroshi Iuchi, is launching on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America and Europe this June or July.
Featuring a non-linear level map and 4-player download play, Kokuga is a top-down shooter in which you operate a tank through 15 free-scrolling stages, using Attack and Support cards on the touch screen to activate special power-ups.

A Pikmin 3 Direct will be airing in Japan, starting June 26 at 8 pm JST (7 am EST, 4 am PST, 12 pm BST.)

Could we see more rare titles in the future?
The ESRB has recently rated Mega Man for Game Gear.
Though nothing is confirmed by this, the recent rating given to such an old game could suggest that the title is making its way to the 3DS Virtual Console.
The Game Gear version of Mega Man, developed by Freestyle, combines features from both Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5, and was originally noted for a lukewarm reception.

An Animal Crossing: New Leaf SpotPass featuring the in-game house of Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime is now available for U.S. New Leaf players.

Luigi and Wario battle for your wallet!
I'm convinced: Nintendo hates me. Last week we got Animal Crossing: New Leaf. This week we get a new Luigi game, a new Wario game, and a new farming simulator. Somehow I'll have to find it in my heart to only choose two of those, but which two? Bust out those credit cards my friends, because there's something for everyone this week.
