Who doesn't want to dress up as the legendary brothers?
Mario and Luigi costumes will be available in the Wii U version of Rayman Legends. Rayman will have access to the Mario costume and Globox will have the Luigi one.This news comes from today's Nintendo Direct presentation. Rayman Legends is set to release on September 3rd.

Gamers in Japan can now watch Pokémon on 3DS until their eyes melt.
An application for Hulu is now available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan. The free download still requires a monthly subscription fee of 980 yen per month. Unlike Hulu in the United States, to view any content on the service, the monthly fee is required.

The offline co-op is not hidden in a dark corner, it is simply not there.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist on the Wii U will not have offline co-op.
Producer Liu Jun, of Ubisoft Shanghai, said in an interview with Nintendo Life that "In order to ship at the same time as the other consoles, we unfortunately weren’t able to delve into this feature." He does think that "Nintendo gamers will be really excited to get the game at the same time as other consoles."

Pilotwings could serve as the inspiration for an all new stage in Super Smash Bros.
A Pilotwings stage may be coming to the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros., according to the latest daily image posted on the Smash Bros.' website.
The most recent picture is a map from the original Pilotwings on the Super Nintendo for the Wii U version of Smash Bros. It most likely means a Pilotwings stage is coming to at least the Wii U game. However, it is possible it could be something else like a trophy.

Smash Bowling 3D, the next game from the makers of Big Bass Arcade, will be coming to the 3DS eShop August 8.
The game is a bowling simulator and features two control methods: four player pass-and-play multiplayer and shot replays. Developer Big John Games says the development focus was on incorporating accurate pin and ball physics.

The Nintendo 3DS software version 6.2.0-12U is now available for download within the United States.
This update adds the previously announced StreetPass relay functionality to the device, which temporarily stores a player's StreetPass data at any Nintendo Zone the player connects to, and passes it on to the next person to connect to that location.

A poster revealed the names of the 16 Swap Force Skylanders characters, as uncovered on Amazon's UK site.
The 16 characters are part of the Wii U, Wii, 3DS game's hook where you can mix and match the Swap Force characters to create one of 256 different characters. For example, you could take the top half of Stink Bomb and the bottom half of Spy Rise to make Stink Rise.

Hack-'n-slash game Crypt Run may be coming to a Wii U near you!
Crypt Run, a hack-'n-slash game currently being funded on Kickstarter, is now working towards a Wii U stretch goal, as developer Lost Decade Games has become an authorized Nintendo developer.
While the game has hit its funding goal of $5,000, it will need a total of $13,500 to hit its Wii U stretch goal.

It was never approved, but you can now see what might have been.
In 2007, the ill-fated Imagi Animation Studios pitched a Legend of Zelda CGI movie to Nintendo, in a sample trailer that has only now seen public light.
Animator Adam Holmes, who supervised, shot and edited the animated pitch, posted the clip on his personal blog for all to see. Embedding of the video is not allowed, but you can check out the footage here.

EB Games in Australia and JB Hi-Fi in New Zealand will be handing out the legendary Pokémon.
Nintendo Australia has announced that the distribution of shiny versions of the Legendary Pokémon Dialga, Palkia and Giratina will be held at participating EB Games stores in Australia and participating JB Hi-Fi stores throughout New Zealand.
Each of the Pokémon will be available one at a time for a two week period. Fans need only to bring their game and systems to the stores on the following dates to obtain their Pokémon.

Despite a recent listing, Mario's next sports game is still set for release next year.
Mario Golf: World Tour is still coming out in 2014 despite being listed in Nintendo's recent financials as a summer release in North America, and late 2013 in Europe.

A Pikmin Tote Bag is the newest reward for North American Club Nintendo users.
The bag, costing 400 coins, measures 15” x 13” and has an image of multiple Pikmin on it. Underneath the Pikmin is a message, "Pikmin Tote, Attack, Multiply, Become Snacks." The tote is made of canvas and can carry up to 20 pounds. It was made in the U.S.A.
