MixedBag Bringing Three Games To Switch In 2017: First Release Next Week Switch

MixedBag will lean heavy on the adventure.

Italian developers MixedBag have announced three games for the Switch intended to release this year, with the first one coming next week.

The MixedBag slate will start with forma.8, which released on New 3DS and Wii U back in February. The atmospheric platformer will release on the Switch next week for $9.99 / €9.99 / £8.99.

The two big games of the week are across two systems as Sonic Mania has already been dropped, while the 3DS gets the first post-Renegade Kid product of Jools Watsham with Chicken Wiggle. The former is created by modders, while the latter comes with its own modding tools. Which one's the more fun platformer? We'll leave that up to you. Curve Digital Announces A Knight's Quest For 2018 Release Switch

Curve Digital's newest publishing project will land on the Switch next year.

The prolific independent publishers have picked up a new title called A Knight's Quest, and will release the game on multiple platforms including the Switch next year. Developed by a two person team from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, it is a 3D adventure game that involves traversing a large world to tame spirits freed after an incident with a magical vase.

Etrian Odyssey V Maps Out October Release For North America 3DS

The misadventures of Fight and Heal will arrive mid-month.

Be sure to have a mapping stylus ready for October 17.

Atlus has announced that date for the release of Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth for the Americas. The European release date is to be announced at a later date.

As with prior Etrian Odyssey titles, launch copies of V will include an artbook and soundtrack sampler CD.

Thimbleweed Park Points To September Switch Release Switch

The Switch will be getting the latest adventure from a couple of longtime veterans of the genre.

Thimbleweed Park, a murder mystery adventure game, is slated to launch in September for the Switch. LucasArts veterans Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick (Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island) both developed the title, which released on PC and Xbox One in March and is slated for a PlayStation 4 release on August 22.

Apollo Justice Coming To 3DS eShop In November 3DS

ARMS Update Emphasizes Training, Lays Groundwork For New Character Switch

And more than just the usual adjustments for a smoother gameplay experience.

The newest update for ARMS has made some adjustments and also appears to be setting the stage for a new character.

A complete list of adjustments can be found on Nintendo's support site. Among the update changes are a new emphasis on training mode, changes to handling of three way and four way matches, and adjustments to a few characters and several ARMS.

We have a new member of the Three System Club: Severed.

The first person RPG will launch on the North American and European eShops today for $14.99 / €14.99 / £13.49. Previously available on the 3DS and Wii U, Severed sees the main character Sasha hacking and slashing through dungeons in an attempt to save her family.

NBA 2K18 may have a unique Nintendo feature: Amiibo support.

The game's Japanese My Nintendo page listed Amiibo support for the game, though the listing has since been removed. It isn't confirmed that the feature will be added, nor what the nature of the support would be.

2K and Nintendo have not commented on the possibility of Amiibo support.

The first post-launch Splatoon 2 Splatfest recorded identical results, even if the path was slightly different.

New Graphical Options Added To Cave Story+ Switch

Same aspect ratio, but the classic look is back.

One of the most requested features for Cave Story+ is now live.

The first major update for the June release adds new graphic options while maintaining the widescreen aspect ratio. The key options include the ability to toggle water effects and character animations, to either have the modern style or a look similar to the PC and WiiWare versions.
