Nintendo's global president cannot understand why the company's stock has declined over the past few days.
Shares in Nintendo fell nearly 10 percent following the announcement of the Wii U on Tuesday.
The decline left some people puzzled, including Satoru Iwata. In an interview with Reuters, Mr. Iwata commented on the drop by saying:
"Honestly speaking, the reaction to (Tuesday's) presentation and what I heard from people I met and the mood of the convention did not chime at all with what happened in the stock market. It's very strange."

Australia joins the banning bandwagon for this increasingly-doomed title.
Dead or Alive Dimensions, the latest of several big-name fighting games
to reach the 3DS, has been declassified in Australia and all copies
pulled from shelves. The decision follows the banning of the game in
several European regions, after it was decided that containing several
fighters of questionable age inherently constituted the game as child
pornography.

It was another slow week in Japan in terms of video game sales as, for a second consecutive week, the best-selling game sold well below 100,000 units.

You'll be able to buy the compilation in stores, and it's got new special features.
NWR has just learned from developer Gaijin Games that there will also be a Wii retail version of Bit.Trip Saga, which is intended to be the "ultimate version" of these games for true fans. The Bit.Trip series of games was originally released one at a time on WiiWare. Since then, a few of the games have been ported to iOS, and a previously announced Nintendo 3DS compilation is coming in late summer.

New information is here on the unexpected sequel to Pokémon Rumble.
Super Pokémon Scramble, a follow-up to Pokémon Rumble will be released on Nintendo 3DS at the end of July.
Like its WiiWare predecessor, Super Pokémon Scramble is developed by Ambrella. The game will feature Pokémon from Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, in addition to some from past generations.

Mickey Mouse's Wii experience will arrive in Japan this August thanks to Nintendo.
Today it was announced that Nintendo will be releasing Disney Epic Mickey in Japan on August 4.
The game was released in North America and Europe late last year by Disney Interactive Studios. For the Japanese release, Nintendo will take over as publisher of the game. The game will also be given a new name: Disney Epic Mickey: Mickey Mouse to Mahou no Fude, or Mickey Mouse and the Magic Brush.

Ubisoft's games might need online accounts, but Nintendo aren't promising this yet.
Ubisoft Producer, Adrian Blunt, has said that the Wii U will no longer require the use of Friend Codes for online connectivity, but instead, Nintendo will offer an account based system similar to what is found on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. This was revealed in an interview with MTV Multiplayer.

The sequel to the popular handheld series is heading to the Wii in July.
Nintendo opened a teaser site today that announced a July 21 release for Rhythm Heaven in Japan.
The final Japanese name for the game is Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, or Everyone's Rhythm Heaven.
No other details were announced concerning the title.

The Nintendo President makes vague comments on the upcoming console's pricing.
Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata stated that the Wii U is likely to be priced over 20,000 yen (roughly $250). This was revealed a recent interview with the Nikkei newspaper in Japan, where he stated that the cost of the new console is unlikely to sell for the same price as the Wii .
The Wii currently retails for 20,000 yen in Japan and originally launched for 25,000 yen.

Updated hardware packages for Wii and 3DS in Japan are on the way.
Nintendo is releasing a new Wii bundle in Japan that includes two Wii Remote Pluses and Wii Sports Resort for 20,000 yen, the same as the current Wii console price.

The unveiling of the Wii U did not convince analysts or stock holders.

A Japanese retailer lists Super Pokémon Rumble for the Nintendo 3DS.
Earlier today reports emerged that a Japanese retailer had a new Pokémon game for the Nintendo 3DS in their pre-order system.
The image showing the game comes from 2ch, and according to the photo pre-orders will start on June 15th. The game is supposedly a handheld sequel to the WiiWare release Pokémon Rumble.

Ubisoft's Wii U shooter will be available for download online and they are aiming for launch.
Ghost Recon Online for Wii will not be a retail title, revealed a Ubisoft representative. The representative further explained that the final price point for the software is still being considered, but they are thinking about a price near $10. At the Ubisoft presentation tonight,they did not discuss or elaborate on these details at all.

The Ghost Feed was revealed for Ghost Recon Online, coming to Wii U, at the Nintendo developer roundtable featuring Ubisoft tonight.
The feed will always be on and displayed on the touch screen. So, you can check your friends list and interact with them while watching something else on your TV.

Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be arriving on Wii, if an upcoming accessory is any indication. A black version of PDP's Headbanger Headset is set to be released in October this year.

Wii development of the game stopped, and Wii U development began.
Pikmin is coming to Wii U, said Shigeru Miyamoto at the E3 2011 developer presentation.
The game was worked on for Wii for several years, but recently, the next Pikmin game switched target platforms and is now indeed coming to Nintendo's next system. It is likely that it will be a launch title, or at least close to launch.
