The frontline of Makoto, Chie, and Persona 3's female main character is officially known as "The Best Girls".
After its Australian rating, Persona Q2 has a confirmed release date for the rest of the world.
The crossover dungeon crawler will release outside Japan on June 4. Two editions will be available: the standard edition for US$39.99 that comes with pins of the four Persona protagonists represented in the game, or a "Showtime" edition for $69.99 that will add playing cards and a 5" plush of Persona 3's pet Koromaru.

Always helps to get the quality up.
Mario Kart Tour's release just got hit with a Bullet Bill, a blue shell and lightning.
Nintendo confirmed in their earnings release today that the mobile Mario Kart was now targeting a summer 2019 release. Ensuring game quality was cited as the reason for the delay.
The sixth Nintendo mobile title has been talked about in multiple financial reports and earnings meetings, but has not yet been shown publicly.

Did somebody order Wii-like profits? Because we got 'em.
At the close of business today in Japan, Nintendo released their earnings and other results for the first nine months of the 2018 fiscal year. The results were largely focused on the third quarter (October 1 -> December 31), the busiest season for Nintendo all year.
All figures quoted are in yen. A comparison based on current market rates to US$ is provided for convenience, Nintendo assumed ¥111 to $1 during this period.

Some big news for our readers in (or from) Southeast Asia.
A Switch system update is now available that makes the system more of a polyglot.
The 7.0 update adds Korean language support to the console, as well as Simplified and Traditional Chinese (the latter referred to as "Taiwanese" in Nintendo's update notes). Switch was sold for nearly 14 months in South Korea before the language support was added.

OK, so Dragon Marked for Death comes out this week, but what's the deal with it?
Let's see... there's two versions of the game coming out Thursday. Of the four playable characters, two are playable in the different versions and the other two can be bought as DLC. There's a physical edition coming March 26, and that has all four in it. Clear?

How about a nice bombshell for your Friday morning.
Metroid Prime 4 is headed back to the drawing board.
Nintendo's senior managing Executive Officer Shinya Takahashi has made the announcement on Nintendo's video channels that due to difficulties with the project, Metroid Prime 4 has reset development. Series producer Kensuke Tanabe will be working with Retro Studios, who developed prior Metroid Prime titles in a previous incarnation, to create the game.

The armies of war are steadily advancing.
After nearly two years of waiting, we finally have a date for Wargroove.
The Chucklefish-published strategy RPG in the vein of Advance Wars and its predecessors will launch on February 1 for Switch. It was originally announced in a 2017 Nindie Showcase video.

The SteamWorld robots are crossing into another new genre.
Thunderful announced SteamWorld Quest: Epic of Gilgamech in today's Indie Highlights video, for a 2019 release. As with previous SteamWorld titles, Quest is a side-scrolling game, though with a focus on card-based combat.
It is not known where on the series timeline Quest will be placed.

Nintendo of Europe will be showing another Indie Highlights video tomorrow.
The presentation will air at 1500 CET / 9 a.m. Eastern time. It isn't known what will be in the presentation, but the focus will be on independent titles hitting Switch in 2019.
The last video from NoE focused on indies released August 20, and featured release dates of The Messenger and Windjammers, plus the stealth launch of Bad North and Prison Architect.

Nintendo will be holding a couple of large tournaments over the next two months ahead of PAX East.
The Super Smash Bros Ultimate North American Open and Splatoon 2 North American Inkling Open will have online qualifiers in February, with Smash Bros's extending into March, with the grand finals to be held at the PAX East expo in Boston on March 30. Registration for the events is now live: Smash, Splatoon 2.

As part of the series's 25th anniversary, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is getting a new cross-series fighting game.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a 2D fighting game slated for Switch release in April, digitally for $19.99 US for the base edition. A Digital Deluxe package, containing three additional characters with story modes, will be $39.99.

What could possibly be the final major third party 3DS localization has received a rating in Australia, heavily hinting toward a localized version.
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth has received a "M" (Mature) rating in Australia. The rating lists "Multi Platform", but in Australia most titles are submitted with that platform choice by default.

Another one of Game Freak's side projects will be coming to Switch soon.
Rising Star Games will publish Giga Wrecker Alt, a console version of a sidescrolling platformer that was previously available on Steam's Early Access, "soon" according to a new trailer. A limited physical version will be available from Limited Run Games as well.
