Wow, another racer. Looks like racer fans will be able to buy a GCN knowing that they will be getting very good futuristic/fantasy racing games. Also, wasn't the game called Maximum Velocity? Was "Maximum Overdrive" the name of it in other regions???

I want to know why this game was made.

Did NDCube get bumped from making F-Zero GCN in favor of Sega, but instead of scrapping the game, they got NEC to publish it?

It doesn't really make sense for Nintendo to allow one of its own to develope a game so similar to another game they're having made, regardless of the publisher.

Is it just me, or have we known about this for a while now? I distinctly remember IGN reporting this exact same thing like a month ago. Is this just a report about the press release?

This press release is basically just giving the game's new release date, April. It was originally going be be released in February, then March, and now it has been delayed again. I changed the headline and abstract to explain a bit better.

Oh, I see- I was wondering why Planet Gamecube was reporting the announcement of Tubesliders as if it were new.

I guess you have to give it up to quality Control on this one right? Better to have a polished product than some buggy one. and besides, you can suffer by having too few racers, but never suffer from too many.... face-icon-small-wink.gif
