About The Polar Express video games

In this inspiring video game adventure based on "The Polar Express" movie, players will take an extraordinary ride through eight exciting chapters. A conductor shepherds players aboard the train, and onto a journey to meet Santa Claus at the North Pole. Along they way, they will meet memorable characters from the film and together they will solve puzzles, zip through ice tubes and search for lost presents. The PlayStation 2 version also features mini-games for the EyeToy(TM) peripheral, in which players use their body motions to drive the train and decorate a Christmas tree.

About "The Polar Express"

Combining classic storytelling with cutting-edge filmmaking, "The Polar Express" is the story of a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole on Christmas Eve, and marks the debut of performance capture technology. Developed and tailored by Sony Pictures Imageworks to meet director Robert Zemeckis' uncompromising vision, this groundbreaking technique allows the actors' live-action performances to drive the emotions and movements of the digital characters. One of the most widely-held children's book in US libraries, The Polar Express has been awarded the Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children, acclaimed by The New York Times as one of the Ten Best Illustrated Children's Books, and recognized by the National Education Association as both a Top 100 kids' book and a Top 100 teachers' book.
