The Virtual Console receives one obscure Super Nintendo title. Wild Guns from Natsume is a sci-fi/western action title in which players take on the role of a bounty hunter named Clint and a deadly lady named Annie. Talkback

Ian SaneMay 31, 2010

Wild Guns is a game I have always wanted to try but have never been able to find a copy of.  As a purist and SNES game collector I'm torn about whether to "settle" for a VC release.  After all this time of searching it would seem anti-climatic.

NWR_pap64Pedro Hernandez, Contributing WriterMay 31, 2010

I think if you really want to play it, Ian, then you should just buy the VC version while you continue hunting down for a physical copy. Think of it as buying two toys: one to play with, the other for collectible purposes.

Flames_of_chaosLukasz Balicki, Staff AlumnusMay 31, 2010

As most Natsume SNES games, they are somewhat rare now-a-days. Wild Guns goes for at least $50  on ebay and much more if you want a complete copy (around $100 - $200).

AVMay 31, 2010

no Penta Tentacles today  :( :( :(

TJ SpykeMay 31, 2010

I am so glad that we will not have it called that here.

Zach wanted it to look different last week, how about a quote box?

O HAY LOOK NO SHANTAY

Thanks, Shaymin! Now I don't have to type that again.

KDR_11kJune 01, 2010

Looks like a pretty good update with X Scape and Wild Guns, possibly Robocalypse and Turvys.

TJ SpykeJune 01, 2010

I am just glad Robocalypse is finally out, I think they announced it like 2 years ago.

PeachylalaJune 01, 2010

I already made a thread for X-Scape in the Handheld Thread. We can discuss it's amazing awesomeness there.

Are you sure that's Beaver Defense you're thinking of? The main Robocalypse game was released much earlier, this is a spinoff.

TJ SpykeJune 01, 2010

Maybe, I just checked and maybe I was thinking of the DS game. This one was still announced awhile ago, back in July 2009.

Nice beaver!
