Why be safe? Project Cafe is what it's all about.
Since the big anticipation is about Project Café, here are a few off-the-wall things I think and/or hope will be unveiled along with it.
- There will be at least one Café feature that nobody's considered so far for which the overwhelming majority will commend Nintendo.
- There will be at least one Café feature that will be widely panned.
- The Vitality Sensor functionality will somehow be built into the Café's core interface.
- Nintendo will of course show off a Mario tech showcase, but the big coup will be at least two major third parties well into development on major franchises on the Café.
- Retro Studios will have something big announced for Café.
- Either the Café will be released before everyone anticipates, or Nintendo has some major unknown Wii title geared for release in summer 2012.
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be released this summer, and Xenoblade and Last Story will be announced for North American release in the fall/winter, along with another previously unannounced first party title for Wii.
- Nintendo will announce a special Zelda Wii title to be released in celebration of the series' 25th anniversary. It will be underwhelming to all those that aren't Zelda fanatics, but I will still have to get it.
Of course, if even half these things come true, it'll blow me away, but what I do know is this: expect the unexpected.
