3DS Playable Game of Show: Tech Demo: Target Shooting
While strictly speaking not a game, Target Shooting showed off the possibilities of the 3DS. Training the 3DS cameras onto a card with a question mark printed onto it generated a sequence of crazy events on the screen. The very table in front of you folded and morphed while presenting targets to aim at and shoot. Targets were hidden so that you would have to change the viewing angle in order to reach them all. Who would have expected strafing around a piece of paper, holding up a handheld console to shoot targets that appeared out of nowhere.
Honorable Mentions:
Showing off two flight modes, you could travel around Wii Fit/Wii Sports Resort's Wuhu Island with the sea plane or rocket belt. Mastering the controls was the key to flying through rings and collecting points to complete a round.
It's the best game in the Star Fox franchise, and now it's in 3D! Seeing the enemies behind you never looked so good, or threatening.
