I want to vote for Skyward Sword, but I am going to nominate Donky Kong Country Returns for the wii game of E3 2010. I was slight dissapointed at what I saw with the Zelda game and I like retro(no pun intended) revivals like this new Donkey Kong game.

Hey you got a link to the talkback page on each page of the article. Thanks for that!

Wii game of E3 I will have to agree with Kirbys Epic Yarn.

DS game I would say Golden Sun:Dark Dawn.

DS game of E3 2010 would have to be Okamiden.

You clearly didn't play Okamiden. I hope the game will turn out well, but the demo was terrible.

How terrible was the demo? I mean I liked the first Okami game and I wanted an Okami game for the DS for several years now. I finally got my wish, but if you say it is terrible them I am a little worried because I am looking forward to owning this game.

Although it will inevitably take a while, I wish that Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective would make it to the West in a timely fashion. Sadly, the Phoenix Wright-esque quantities of text that need to be translated kills any chance of this happening any time soon.

On an unrelated note, I'd not seen that dune buggy racing screenshot from Kirby's Epic Yarn before. Cool! DKC Returns is more exciting to me personally, purely because both the Donkey Kong series and its new developer have a strong track record, but your choice of Kirby is definitely well justified. This is a franchise reinvention that everyone can get on board with.

Okami-den wasn't terrible. I actually enjoyed it, but as a demo it WAS terrible. The presentation is great, but the game mechanic the demo highlighted, controlling your partner by drawing paths, was definitely a poor and un-fun choice. I can only assume the demo was from the start of the game, which means the game will at least start off on a sour note. You can read my mixed impressions if you'd like.

I know you're probably joking, but Mario Sports Mix is my most anticipated title shown at E3.

I don't see why they haven't made Mario Football yet.  I mean, we've already seen Mario basketball, and we've already seen many Mario Sports STYLE beach volleyball games.

And yes, I mean American football.  I'm aware that to the rest of the world, they've been enjoying THEIR Mario Football title for years. :)

Retro Studios was trying to make one before they were put on Metroid.  I was wondering whether they were working on that, but it was DKCR instead.

I knew they were working on a football game, but I didn't realize it was Mario themed.  Quite interesting.

I don't think it was Mario Football; I remember seeing screenshots of it with NFL teams.

Isn't Kirby usually a mind-numbingly easy game? And it's still your best Wii game of E3? Does that mean it was the most fun?

I dunno about the general trend, but the last time I played a kirby game I got my ass handed to me repeatedly (that was on the gameboy tho).

It shocked me, but even the editors of GameSpot picked Kirby's Epic Yarn as their E3 Game of the Show.

It is hard for me since I didn't actually attend E3, but I will think about my picks.

I have to agree with the Wii choice. Especially since "Reviews On The Run" went along with GameSpot and called Epic Yarn GOTS as well.

Epic Mickey's still #1 on my "Must... buy..." list but Epic Yarn was to this year what Scribblenauts did last year and totally stole E3 for me.

Kirby is immortal in Epic Yarn, but that doesn't necessarily mean the game will be easy. It feels much like Wario Land 2 and 3, not surprising since Kirby's developer (Good Feel) also made Wario Land: Shake It.

That is actually quite interesting, I never knew that. I'm kind of still hoping there will be a surprise Mario game announcement before 2010 is over... maybe a Mario football game could be released in the middle of the football season? It could be fun, as long as it doesn't try to be "extreme" like Mario Strikers Charged.

I really don't get what you've got against Mario Strikers. It's a great game, and still one of the best multiplayer titles on the Wii.
