The best and the worst are exposed in our Fifth Annual Awards.

Retaining the art style of Wind Waker and Four Swords, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap creates a whole new story line in which Link requires the help of Ezlo, the titular cap, and the Picori, tiny little allies. Therein lies the reason the game takes home the prize. When using the cap, Link shrinks in size and the world around him grows larger. The scaling effect is a wonder to behold as, in the words of Lasse, "Rain drops come tumbling down like giant bombs, a small pond becomes an impassable ocean, and enemies that you would normally swipe away with ease become terrifying bosses that take up half of the GBA’s screen."
