The best and the worst are exposed in our Fifth Annual Awards.

Company That Needs to Give Up on the DS

Ubisoft

Few companies have consistently provided such a significant number of mediocre to bad games for one console than Ubisoft. The DS has had an amazing year, garnering significant support and getting truly excellent games; not one of them was made by Ubisoft. Instead, we got a crippled version of Splinter Cell, a port of Rayman 2 so dark as to be unplayable, the extremely disappointing Lunar: Dragon Song, and the festival of crap that was King Kong. The DS is a unique platform that requires special attention to make a game worthwhile, and Ubisoft doesn't seem to be providing that care to any of their games. Most of them are simply cash-ins to their mainstays and licensed games. While it's nice to have a variety of games, no gaming system needs this kind of support.

Runner Up: Electronic Arts
