The best and the worst are exposed in our Fifth Annual Awards.

Could there be any doubt? Resident Evil 4 was nothing short of a mind-blowing experience. It was gorgeous, creepy, and fun as hell. Resident Evil 4 was also a complete change from the previous entries. With new enemies, new controls, and change in the inventory design, the game was more approachable without skimping on the atmosphere or the scares. Not content to sit on a great single player quest, Resident Evil 4 had excellent staying power due to the ability to transfer weapons from a finished quest to the next and the additions of Ada's Assignment, and the Mercenaries mini games.
