Daniel Bloodworth's thank yous

  • Nintendo: Without you, we wouldn’t have anything to write about. Thanks for all the wonderful games coming this year (my wallet doesn’t thank you). Also, thank you for making sure your booth babes are fully clothed and for giving away the coolest stuff.

  • Sega for having free drinks and foam Shinobi shurikens.

  • Capcom: I’m amazed that GBA games can look that pretty even when they’ve been stretched out on the monitors.

  • The Crave representative that helped me figure out Mace Griffen: Bounty Hunter.

  • TDK and Mattel for bringing back He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Do the license justice boys!

  • Oiwake Restaurant for allowing a crazy bunch of Nintendo geeks sing badly and scream, “Shine Get!” for four hours.

  • My teacher Mrs. Goldthwait: For extending the deadline on my report and letting me skip class for E3.

  • My boss Maria Berkey: For letting me off work to go work.

  • Shea (sorry I don’t remember your last name) for cutting Saturday night short so I could get home and call Max in from the airport.

  • Billy: I know there’s so much you do behind the scenes that we’ll never even know about. None of us would be going to E3 or writing at such a respected level if it weren’t for you. Sorry we never got to play Wave Race, watch those season finales, or check out the Virtual Boy.

  • The Breakys and Dragona for being such wonderful guests and constantly cleaning up after me.

  • Rick for pushing to get me hired and keeping the server on life support.

  • WindyMan for the cool Pikmin poster.

  • Adam for the MiniCases and for working like an animal to get the DVD done on time.

  • Mike Hrusecky for continuing to bust out the news when you got stuck at home.

  • TYP for driving me around in the Luigi Kart all week long.

  • And various staff members for letting me drop my stuff in their rooms while I hung out at the hotel.

  • Got a news tip? Send it in!
