Mario Kart 7 Likely Launching Early December in Australia 3DS

There is no confirmed date yet, but at least we have a better idea of when it will arrive.

Last weekend at the EB Games Expo, Nintendo PR rep Jamie Wilson revealed that Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS will likely be launching in Australia sometime in early December.

The reasoning for this is that if Nintendo releases the game too close to Christmas, they will likely reduce sales due to parents having already finished buying gifts.

See what bonuses puzzles Last Specter owners will have a chance to solve over the next 33 weeks.

Thirty-three upcoming Professor Layton puzzles are revealed thanks to the official website and a little sleuthing. 

As was the case with previous Layton entries, downloadable puzzles will be released weekly over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Distribution begins next week.

Bad News for Australian One Piece Fans DS3DS

Neither Gigant Battle nor Unlimited Cruise SP will reach these shores.

Despite both One Piece: Gigant Battle for Nintendo DS and One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP for the Nintendo 3DS having a confirmed PAL localisation for the European market, neither game will be officially released in Australia, according to a Namco-Bandai representative at the EB Games Expo last weekend.

Second Circle Pad Will Be Available for Resident Evil: Revelations 3DS

Capcom was coy on how it will be made available, but you will be able to use it in February.

The additional Circle Pad will be available for use in Capcom's Resident Evil: Revelations, coming out on February 7, 2012, according to Capcom's Ryan McDougall at New York Comic Con.

McDougall did not say whether the second Circle Pad is coming out separately or in a bundle, but he confirmed that, if you want it, you will be able to get it.

Australian Layton Release to Include London Life DS

Australians won't have to import to be able to play the bonus London Life RPG.

Nintendo Australia has confirmed that the AU release of Professor Layton and the Last Specter will not be taken from the European version of the game, as is generally the case with Australian releases. Zombie carrots scare up some Halloween fun, and NWR celebrates the release of Catrap.

It is Thursday once more, which means that new games and video have been added to Nintendo's downloadable game services across their systems. In total, six new pieces of software are available for download.

One of the highlights this week is a new video from DreamWorks. Titled Night of the Living Carrots Part 1, the short is based on the Monsters vs. Aliens universe, whose first appearance was in the 2009 film of the same name.

Developer Gaijin Games' Alex Neuse loves the Wii, but Runner 2 is too much for the little system.

Bit.Trip Presents: Runner 2, Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, which was announced for Xbox Live Arcade and PSN last week, won't be hitting WiiWare because "the Wii cannot handle the game," according to Gaijin Games' Alex Neuse. However, Neuse did say that they are considering bringing Runner 2 to Wii U.

New Kirby's Return to Dream Land Videos Reveal New Powers Wii

Dozens of powers showcased.

New videos from Nintendo's Japanese website showcase many of Kirby's abilities and powers, including returning and newly unveiled copy abilities in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, which launches in two weeks.

First up is the intro in which the Lor Starcutter crashes into PopStar and Kirby and friends pledge their support to Magolor. The sequence even includes music from the cancelled GameCube version.

Majesco Entertainment has unveiled the opening cinematic of Zumba Fitness 2, which will be released on November 15 for Wii. The sequel to the million selling original will feature 32 brand new dance songs and new customization options.

Release Dates for Tales of the Abyss in Europe and North America Announced 3DS

The 3DS port of Tales of the Abyss will hit Europe later this year, while North America will have to wait until next year.

Tales of the Abyss’ 3DS port has finally received release dates for Europe and North America. Namco Bandai plans to release the game in Europe on November 25th of this year; however North American 3DS owners will have to wait until February 14, 2012 to get their hands on the 3DS RPG.

Wii Hardware Revision Confirmed for North America Wii

A complete farewell for GameCube support in the west?

The streamlined version of the Wii, which was revealed during GamesCom 2011, has now also being confirmed for North America.

This hardware revision forces the Wii to sit in a horizontal position, instead of vertical, which was possible thanks to an included stand. The new system also removes all GameCube support, making its software and accessories incompatible.

Nintendo Announces New Wii Bundle for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Wii

Nintendo is releasing a new Wii color to commemorate the launch of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic games.

Nintendo UK announced that a new Wii bundle including a blue Wii and a copy of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be released on November 18.

There is no word as to whether or not this bundle will arrive in North America or Japan.
