The free trial can be claimed on the console, which automatically starts a 1 month membership that can be immediately cancelled. The special NES Joy-Cons can now be ordered on the Special Offers page.

An update to Mario Tennis Aces is going to add the ability to trash-talk your opponent.

The 2.0 update, due to drop Wednesday, will support the smack talk if the Nintendo Switch Online app is active. From the patch notes: "If the application is running on your device when you enter an online match, you will automatically receive a prompt on your smartphone asking if you would like to join a voice chat with your opponent."

In this last full week of free online play for all, there's already an overfull lineup of Switch games. The big ones this week are Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk and Undertale for two entirely different takes on the RPG (and in Undertale's case, the greatest set of trophies PlayStation will ever have). Though if you need a break from map making and determination the Capcom Beat-Em-Up Bundle will provide a quick burst of pounding.

The multiplayer action of Tricky Towers is en route to the Switch next month.

Developer WeirdBeard has confirmed the multiplayer-focused tower builder will release on the Switch on October 11. The game can be preloaded beginning today.

Up to four players can play Tricky Towers locally or online, which has a dual focus on building a tower and attacking the opponent's. Leaderboard support will also be included.

The Japanese version of today's Nintendo Direct revealed that one of the biggest games of the year is coming to Switch... in a fashion.

Similar to the previous release of Resident Evil 7, a "Cloud Edition" of Assassin's Creed: Origins will be releasing for Japanese Switch systems on October 5. Ubisoft has confirmed no plans to bring this version of the game out for the West.

It'll be easier than ever to squad up and support Marina.

Upcoming updates for Splatoon 2 and Mario Tennis Aces have been revealed.

The Splatoon 2 4.0 update will launch tonight, and will add new gear and weapons. Additionally, Splatfests will now feature easier teaming with friends, and bonuses will be available for consistently performing teams. A Pro Mode will also be available, and random battles will allow for 10x or even 100x modes.

Join up to 38 million players, so crossplay confirmed.

The alien invasion of the Switch will be landing in November.

Warframe, the free to play shooter announced for Switch in July, has confirmed a release date of November 20. The game offers play with "over 38 million players", indicating that crossplay will be available for the game.

The original eight will adorn your dock.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate will have a hardware bundle, and it's launching earlier than would be expected.

The hardware bundle will launch on November 2 and will include a dock with the original eight Smash Bros characters and specially adorned Joy-Cons. A download code for Smash Bros Ultimate will be included, but according to Nintendo it will not be live until December 7.

Including one where Luigi can't win by doing absolutely nothing. (Apparently.)

Super Mario Party continues to reveal new modes ahead of its unveiling next month.

Two new modes were announced in today's Nintendo Direct: Sound Stage, a motion rhythm mode, and the co-op River Survival mode. Both modes have four player support.

Super Mario Party will launch on October 5.

Even with a delay, there's still shadowdrops to deal with.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remaster is coming in 2019. This is a remaster of the GameCube title and includes new areas and online multiplayer.

Some big news has emerged from the world of Animal Crossing.

A new Animal Crossing title was announced in the Nintendo Direct. No subtitle was given, only a 2019 release date and an introduction from Tom Nook for the new game.

Before that, Isabelle will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The dreaded stop sign and gyroids were among her attacks.

Yoshi's next trip to a craft-like world is hitting Switch in Spring 2019.

Yoshi's Crafted World is coming to Switch in Spring 2019, a minor delay from its planned 2018 release.

The adorable craftwork game comes from GoodFeel, who made Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Woolly World. The game features co-op and Poochy. Much like its demo at E3 2017, levels be played both forwards and backwards. More information about the 2019 release will be revealed as we get closer to its launch.

New RPG from Game Freak and it is not Pokemon

Nintendo announced a new RPG from Pokemon creator Game Freak called Town.

This RPG will take a unique spin on the adventure by focusing its story solely on one village. Battle enemies and get help from other towns folk.

Release is set for 2019.

Play Final Fight, Knights of the Round, and many more from Capcom's history on September 18.

Capcom is bringing the arcade fury to Switch on September 18 with the Capcom Beat-'em-Up Bundle.

The pack includes Final Fight, The King of Dragons, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, Warriors of Fate, Armored Warriors, and Battle Circuit. The last two are making their console debuts. All games will support four player locally and online and can be pre-ordered on the Switch eShop now.

Roll your way with the Joy-Cons

Katamari Damacy Reroll has been announced for the Switch and is slated for release in winter 2018. Bandai Namco later sent a press statement confirming a December 7 launch date.

It will include enhanced gyro controls, HD rumble, and multiplayer battles.

It's the only "wah wah" we'll be getting.

One of the Wii U's launch titles is making its way to Switch in a new Deluxe package.

The Deluxe version of New Super Mario Bros. U was announced in today's Nintendo Direct for release on January 11. The New Super Luigi U expansion will also be in the package.

Nabbit and Toadette will be playable in the game; Nabbit does not take damage from enemies, while Toadette can power up with a crown to become "Peachette" and gain a double jump.

Port of the Nintendo DS RPG title coming to 3DS

Nintendo announced that Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey is hitting the 3DS on January 11, 2019.

The port of the 2009 Nintendo DS title will include a new adventure with Bowser Jr. as he goes on a quest to find a cure for his old man.

Not much more info other than the year is known.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2019, according to Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi to start today's Nintendo Direct.
