Iwata to Tweet During E3

Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata will be tweeting during E3 on the official Nintendo of America Twitter account, @NintendoAmerica. All of Iwata's tweets will include the Twitter hashtag #IwataSays.

Mr. Iwata has already started tweeting, with the first tweet reading "Miiverse will be a network service where Miis from around the world can meet and connect #NintendoDirect http://twitpic.com/9sjpca"

Wii U Pro Controller Set to Release with Wii U WiiU

An updated traditional controller is coming to the Wii U. 

Nintendo is releasing the Wii U Pro Controller for the Wii U.

The controller is lighter, and intended to be more attractive to gamers seeking a traditional gaming experience. Along with a standard button layout, the controller also offers click-enabled analog sticks.

The wireless controller also appears to contain a mini-USB charge plug. The Wii U will support up to four controllers.

Wii U Game FAQ & Other Communication Aspects Shown WiiU

Video chat is a go guys!

During the Nintendo Direct conference, Nintendo played a demonstration video showing some interactive features unique to the system.

The first is a game FAQ message board function that allows the player to ask questions about certain sections of a game. The second major feature is a built-in video chat function, which uses the Wii U GamePad's built-in camera to allow friend-to-friend video communication.

Crytek Not Developing for Wii U WiiU

That won't stop third-parties from using CryEngine.

Crytek, developer of Far Cry and the Crysis series, is not currently developing for Wii U. The news comes from an interview with Golem.de, a German website. The statement, loosely translated, states that there will be games that run on Wii U using CryEngine, but they will be licensed. The interview also notes that Crytek are not developing for PlayStation Vita.

Gearbox Software Says Nice Things About Wii U WiiU

The developer claims that Nintendo has listened to their feedback on the upcoming console.

Aliens: Colonial Marines developer Gearbox Software continued to praise the Wii U in an interview from Nintendo Gamer's June 2012 issue. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and art director Brian Cozzens held off naming technical specifications, but stated their excitement for the Wii U's capabilities in no small number of positive terms.

Pokémon Black and White 2's PokéWood Feature Further Detailed DS

Well, this looks pretty neat.

PokéWood, the new movie-making feature in Pokémon Black and White 2, was featured in the latest episode of the Pokemon Smash variety television show.

During the episode, it was revealed that there are numerous PokéWood scenarios to select when in the new game mode. Specific moves can be used once a script is selected to affect the outcome, and specific Pokémon can be rented for the PokéWood scenarios.

Pokédex 3D Gets Final Update 3DSDS

A final update for Pokédex 3D has been released in Japan.

The update unlocks all of the Pokémon normally only accessible using special AR markers, including Coballion, Terrakion, Victini, Virizion, Reshiram, and Zekrom. In addition, the game unlocks every other Pokémon the player hasn't obtained, even those normally not exclusive to their game (like certain Pokémon forms).

Club Nintendo Survey Values Changing in July

3DS post-play and eShop coin values will be reduced, along with Wii and DS adjustments.

Club Nintendo will make a number of sweeping changes to the coin values of games and surveys on July 1 in North America.

On 3DS, all post-play surveys will be reduced from 20 to 10 coins. Members of Club Nintendo will receive the new coin value for surveys completed after July 1. Most eShop games will be reduced from 10 to 5 Coins. All first-party and some third-party 3DS titles will be increased in coin value.

The week before E3 has a great number of downloadable games heading to all services, except WiiWare.

First on the 3DS Virtual Console is the Game Boy Color game, Rayman. In this classic platformer, Rayman must save the Electoons across the games six worlds, and defeat Mr. Dark. It is available now for $4.99.

Nintendo eShop Reveals Order Up!! Price 3DS

This retail-to-download release has a listed price.

When Order Up!! releases on the eShop in a few short weeks, it will be priced at $9.99, according to the game's listing on the Nintendo eShop.

Last month we learned that the game was coming to the eShop as a downloadable title instead of getting a retail release as initially planned. The game's demo hit the eShop today and revealed this information, but its release date is still listed at TBD.

A Japanese third-party, GameTech, aims to give 3DS owners a better grip for their Circle pads.

The Extra Pad 3D is coming to Japan on June 7 for 480 yen. Released by third-party company GameTech, the silicon attachment looks to fit snuggly over the Circle pad and give Nintendo 3DS users a better grip, as well as a bit more height for controlling their games.

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will duke it out with villains on Wii U in 2013.

Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game based on the DC Universe and developed by NetherRealm Studios, is coming to Wii U in 2013.
