List of 3DS Specifications 3DS

Here are the on-the-record specifications for Nintendo's newest handheld.

Part of Nintendo's Tuesday announcement of the Nintendo 3DS involved a partial reveal of the system's specifications. We say "partial" because a lot of the exact details, such as processor and graphics chip information, were not listed.

3DS to Allow the Dumping of Games to Internal Memory 3DS

It looks like you won't have to swap cartridges any more.

In a move that mimics the Xbox 360's ability to install games to its hard drive, Nikkei is reporting that Nintendo's 3DS system will allow users to copy cartridge-based games to internal memory.

Once a game is "dumped" to the system's memory, it can be launched by selecting it from a menu listing the games stored on the system. Users will no longer have to carry their cartridges with them on the road in order to play multiple games.

Nintendo's Next Console May Employ 3D 3DS

The company's president is waiting for the adoption rate of 3D televisions to go up.

Echoing what Nintendo themselves seem to be saying, Lazard Capital Markets' analyst Colin Sebastian had an interesting take on the price and launch of Nintendo's new handheld. He feels that its launch price could be $249 or more, and that it will be released in Japan first.
