Here is the explanation:

Quote
There are no friend codes to speak of. Rather, the title connects so quickly to EA's servers that the process is practically invisible to the end user. Rahimi demonstrated this truth to us by flipping through some of the stage selection screens, all of which now feature a clickable block to download new, user-created levels. He clicked on the block, connected and downloaded all user-created levels within two or three seconds. Because the created levels are just coordinate data, there's no assets to be downloaded and everything is therefore downloaded in the blink of an eye. EA has big plans in store the online mode. Users will be able to trade levels directly with friends, but also receive periodic blasts from the publisher, all without ever leaving the main menus.

But how will people know who made which level? What confuses me is how, say, Maxi knows that I sent him a stage if I didn't tell my game that he is my friend?

It may use EA Nation like their sports games.

I was wondering when someone would point out the return of Greg's favorite exploding monkey.   ;)

Every EA published Wii game with an exception of Rock Band 2(because it's a MTV Games game) uses EA Nation so I'm not entirely surprised that it uses that, PS3 and Xbox 360 EA games also use EA Nation if I'm thinking correctly.

New box art to judge!

No monkey, that will make poeple happy. I think it looks better. It reminds me of old 8/16-bit game boxes for some reason.

Kind of odd the name Boom Blox if on the side.

Who was it on the podcast that hated the monkey? Was it James? I wonder if he'll hate the Tiger as well.

Yes, the Big Ass Yellow Bar is a nice touch, Stogi.

The original is down to $30 now, I'm thinking of buying it again. 4 days ago was its one-year anniversary, so it may perhaps be rather fitting...

The sequel's coming next week, sounding to be even better, and debuting at $40, why not wait for that?

Matt gave it an 8.5 and if you read the review it sounds like a fantastic follow up to the first game with potential for almost limitless gameplay.

Well Boom Blox had little advertising and was a slow but steady seller. Really I don't think releasing games like this with something big like Punch-Out!! really affects it in the long term on Wii.

This game is out already too?  Spielberg never told me about this.  Stupid EA's press sites (both of them) don't even have a trailer for it.

Sheesh, I'll get it this weekend.

Liar
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Played the game for a couple of hours and well, it is just as fantastic as the original. It has a TON of content, heck we even barely scratched the surface in regards to the multiplayer modes!
