It does look like Dewy is destined to bomb regardless of what anyone says though, either positive or negative. Konami is obviously not backing the game, heck even the big review sites haven't done any on the game, showing me that Konami didn't give them advance copies. Probably for the best, because I sure didn't want it to be a big success so Konami can fund MGS4 with the cash and continue to give the Wii the middle finger.

because the entire front page was locked and simply looked atrocious. i was tired of looking at it so i went down the list of unlocked threads on page 2 to bump them. i tried reading some and coming up with something relevant but got tired of it.

i didnt even bother reading anything in this thread after doing it to like 10 other threads, so i dont know how i would be mocking Kairon.

although now i see by bringing this back up i´ve started another silly debate between GP and XunluckyforumuserthistimeX

I should have this in via gamefly tomorrow so I should see how it is then (unless I'm busy).

Well, after changing the sensitivity of the tilt (I changed it to high) I am doing better, I actually ::gasp:: enjoyed the first world boss.

Well, time to earn my keep as a third party plant.

Just beat the third boss. and... dare I say it? These bosses are AS inventive, if not more inventive than, Zelda bosses.

It's just too bad the rest of the game is marred by an alignment of many minor control, camera, and design issues such that falling or misjuding a jump  is the biggest danger to a Dewy player.

Sorry for bumping this thread but after seeing this "Why "Dewy's adventure" rock video I am gaining interest in it.

Anyone have update impressions on the game? I checked the thread and was surprised at the lack of up to date impressions and overall thoughts.

The guy in the video is seriously obsessed with it but I have heard mixed things from other people.

Any new thoughts?

I just bought the game 15 minutes ago, impressions in the next few days whenever I get a chance to play it.

This game flopped so bad there isn't even an FAQ available anywhere online, and now i'm stuck at a stupid retarded boss (in the Ruins level) and will probably have to give up on the game now. Every other boss fight has been brilliant though, there's lots of great ideas in this game. I love the charming soundtrack and the graphics are top notch. Control is ok but it sucks for complex platforming which thankfully there isn't much of in the game, and sometimes the camera is really annoying. I'm pleasantly surprised by this game but one retarded design decision can screw it all up so easily.

EDIT: Nevermind i'm a retard and beat it, ALL the bosses are fantastic. This game gives Zelda something to think about. Funnily enough I ended up getting my first S rank of the game against that boss.

Yeah, this game really is inventive in the boss fights. It's a shame that the tilt-forming is so unnecessarily...unnecessary. I wonder what the team's next project is, or if Konami will pull the plug on them after two beautifully experimental, but un-advertised and un-protected games.

Maybe if all the members of this board pick it up and show it to their friends it will have a snowball effect and soon everyone will be playing it. Well, maybe not... but still I might look into it now that I got some Christmas cash. :p

Yeah a snowball that causes an avalanche killing everyone and sales when they see what it actually is like.

Lol, I guess if you enjoyed a game like Super Monkey Ball for Wii, you may find something to like here

They are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES! Don't listen to this. Monkey Ball is HARDCORE to the max and the controls are really precise, Dewys controls are sloppy because you aren't doing hardcore rolling you're just advancing through a level solving puzzles and killing enemies. Definitely some frustrating moments though.

After beating the end boss I never want to touch this game again. That was TOUGH. The entire last level was lame

Quite a solid game all round though, just lacking in good core gameplay, but not worth full price, or any other type of money.

I'd say it is a solid good. I have been having fun with it as of late. However there are some frustrations. The controls can at times be really unresponsive, other times overly responsive. In addition, it is a pretty tough game, and dying = restart level which is unbelievably frustrating when you have rescued almost all of the villagers and need to redo it all. Hopefully they will make a sequel and fix up some of these sticking points.

It is a good game hurt by poor tilt controls. I think it could have benefited greatly from analog controls even if they were used for tilting (perhaps give an option of either analog or controller tilting). The game is creative, especially the boss fights, but the controls have ruined it for many.

I doubt it would have made a difference, it's not like all of a sudden Dewy would move faster and smoother with an analog stick, they'd just need to change the gameplay. I think the camera was to blame more though. Overall I'd say worth playing but not buying unless its cheap and you want it.

Yeah, it's true that analog or not, the game was sevefrely hurt by no one knowing it existed. *shakes fist at Konami*
