Yeah, everyone seems to forget Resistance.  It even came in second in Japan.

Right, but Resistance just doesn't have the same weight as FF. Of similarity to hyping the GameCube with Luigi's Mansion.

But by that logic Gears of War doesn't deserve to be on the video either. Edit: video not list.

Really? Well, i'll just have to defer to you on that then. I personally wouldn't put Resistance at the same level as FF.

Edit:

To clarify a bit, I guess.... The idea is that there is going to be a "battle" going on between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft during November, the results of which will, of course, be brought to us by NPD. If you're going to go to battle with your rivals, I don't think Sony would do well to bring along "Resistance" when they could bring along say, Final Fantasy.

Gears and Zelda are all that and a bag of chips. Resistance? I dunno, I guess I'll just have to defer to you. But I do think it is telling that the person who made the video chose (for the PS3) to ignore Resistance in favor a PS2 game.

Oh well, I'm not saying Resistance is as good as Gears, but it averaged 89% on GameRankings, so I think it's safe to say that it's pretty good by launch game standards.  I've seen 360 fans rip into it for not having the features they expect from an Xbox Live game, but...ummm....I'm rambling.  My point is, I have no idea if it's any good, but the reviewers seem to think so, and they sure weren't afraid to rip into Genji or others in the lineup.

So how about those DS sales?  I heard it reached 7 million in Europe lately. Also interesting, Wikipedia's PSP entry has had the "sales and competition" section removed over the past month.

The Wii should easily win November. It already has over 600,000 and will likely sell around 700,000 by Friday (maybe 650?). The 360 would have to have sold 2-3 times its usual to beat that.

Nov. NPD cut-off was Saturday, sales from this week starting Sunday aren't counted for Nov. because they only count fill weeks (Sun - Sat). All sales from Sunday on will count as Dec NPD(which should be even more exciting than Nov.).

It is always a DoA game or RPG game that will get the 360 into the top 30.  I think the 360 will sell about 5000 units.

Wow, thanks for all those details!  I was surprised to see DS Lite surpassed GBA SP this week!  XBox 360's meteoric rise to the top continues!  PSP rebounds from last week's all-time low sales (but fails to sell any top 30 software).

Heh... if this xmas is anything like last xmas and Nintendo can continue to supply the DS's without running out of them like last year, Pac-man's mouth is just going to keep closing...

Hang on a second... the Wii will be coming out next week... So does that mean Pac-man will be eating wii?

I don't think this will be the first time Pac-man has eaten wii, though... (if only I could remember that web comic strip)

I remember that one. I'm guessing that soon the chart will be divided up by systems and then a seperate one for companies. Nintendo will be eating Sony and MS.

Wait... The game attach rate is equal to total game sales / total hardware sales, right? If that's right, then the GameCube has an attach rate of 8.7 games per system sold in the US and 9.3 worldwide. That's pretty really pretty damn good for a "phailed" game system with no 3rd party support.

I mean, I know I have, geez, like 25 games for the system, but I figure that's because i'm a pretty hard core Nintendo fan. Do we know what the game attach rate to PS2 and Xbox1 are?

I'm sure the PS2 attach rate is high, at least in the US, due to there being 5 GTA games.
