A look into the European CDN server where Nintendo hosts their downloadable eShop titles hints at some interesting uploads, the data files for Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

The 1984 beat-em-up's remake will be available to Wii U owners.
A remake of Jordan Mechner's Karateka will be heading to the Wii U, according to the game's ESRB page.
It was previously known that a remake of the game was going to be released, but we did not know it was coming to Wii U. The game is being developed by Jordan Mechner, the creator of Prince of Persia and the developer of the original Karateka.

Fractured Soul will be 2982 blocks in size when it hits the Nintendo eShop in North America, Nintendo Okie reports.
The game by developer Endgame will release next week and will set you back $11.99. In comparison, New Super Mario Bros. 2 will cost you 2725 of your precious blocks, while Order Up! stands in third place with 2485 blocks.

A secret ending attached to the iOS version of TWEWY teased a new game.
The iOS version of The World Ends With You included a secret ending that could possibly be interpreted as a teaser for a sequel to the Nintendo DS game.
The image, which you can view in this article, shows a new characters with the words "New 7 Days." Hopefully this is meant to infer a new game will be coming. If there is a sequel on the way, we do not know what platform it would be released on.

Mario's fortune extends beyond the virtual.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 has sold over one million copies in Japan after five weeks of release.
Media Create, a Japanese company that tracks the sales of digital entertainment, stated that the game has gone on to sell 1,068,878 units since its release on July 28. In comparison, Super Mario 3D Land took eight weeks to reach similar numbers.

Any chance of an eShop release is unlikely because of licensing issues to boot.
The likelihood of Retro Game Challenge 2 seeing an official release outside of Japan is slim-to-none, according to XSEED, the publishers of the first game in the series.
"Unfortunately with the number that Retro Game Challenge did, it’s close to impossible to justify bringing the sequel over," XSEED's Jimmy Soga told us.

It seems that Atari is committing to an October launch
Atari announced today via press release that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D will be hitting store shelves on October 16, 2012.
