[Update] It looks like "leak" of Rayman's inclusion in future Smash Bros. DLC was nothing more than a well-crafted prank.
The guy behind the hoax posted a video on how he pulled it off.

[Original Story] Pictures and video footage uploaded today on NeoGAF indicate that Ubisoft character Rayman will be a playable fighter in upcoming DLC for both the Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros.

Another chance to get my hands on a Rosalina? Yes please!
It appears three additional Amiibo will be included in the Mario Party 10 line of Amiibos.
Over on the game's official Japanese site, new Amiibo for Wario, Rosalina, and Donkey Kong are all pictured.
As for whether these will be included in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. wave of Amiibos remains to be seen, but fans can at least rejoice in the fact that there might be another opportunity to snag a Rosalina figure.

Not even a cartoon tie-in can save Sega's struggling hedgehog.
The launch of Sonic Boom is now Sega's weakest game debut in the history of the franchise.
The combined sales of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal failed to reach half a million sales worldwide. Instead, a mere 490,000 copies of the Wii U and 3DS titles combined were sold.

The "convenience" of a 3DS system transfer coupled with the magic of two visits to GameStop is required. Sounds fun.

The future of J.K. Rowling's magical world could have turned out very differently.
Nintendo tried to secure the exclusive rights to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter franchise.
The company created a pitch back in 1998 to obtain the rights to produce all adaptations of the book series. NoA's internal team worked on a pitch for a third-person adventure title based on the popular wizarding franchise. Additionally, a smaller team was broken off at Nintendo Software Technology to develop a title based on quidditch.

Ubisoft has been holding back a finished Wii U game for over a year. It's a party game called Know Your Friends.
Know Your Friends is a Wii U party game from Ubisoft that has been finished for an entire year according to Unseen 64. There are no current plans for it to come out as far as we know, though.

Just in time for the launch of New 3DS!
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is getting Amiibo support in an update that will be rolling out tomorrow, Nintendo of Europe has just announced.
"A free update will also be released on 10th February for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS that will enable amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. Collection to be used with the new systems," the company shared in a press release.

A second set of covers will grace New 3DS systems very soon!
Another New Nintendo 3DS cover plate that features Nintendo's beloved The Legend of Zelda series is coming to Japan, Nintendo has announced.
The new design features a pattern of small triforces on top, while the bottom has Hyrulian writing and the iconic crest.
This second set of covers is coming out on April 2 in Japan. Sadly, a release date has not yet been announced for Europe or Australia.

Monolith Software's JRPG will support pre-loading, too.
The official Japanese box art for Xenoblade Chronicles X has been revealed.
Additionally, a 32 GB Wii U console bundle that comes with a copy of the game, an art book, and map was announced during yesterday's "Direct" broadcast. It'll be priced at 35,000 yen and is currently only confirmed for release in Japan.
