South America has to wait for a bit.
Niantic has just dated the Pokemon Go+ accessory.
According to the Pokémon Go blog, the accessory will launch on September 16 (a week from this Friday) in "much of the world", with some South American countries getting the device later this year.
The Go+ will allow for both capture of Pokémon and Poké Stop access without looking at the screen.

Plus news of My Nintendo interaction
Nintendo is scaling back their mobile plans slightly for the fiscal year.
In an interview with Time Magazine, Shigeru Miyamoto discussed Nintendo's mobile strategy. A follow-up email from Miyamoto confirmed that a combination of development time and "market conditions" would mean only four mobile titles would release by March 2017. The four titles would be Miitomo, Super Mario Run and the unnamed Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem projects.

PokeStops, nearby Pokemon, and egg hatching are coming to your wrist.
Niantic CEO John Hanke stopped by Apple's Apple Watch Series 2 announcement to show off Pokémon Go on Apple Watch.
The app allows users to track nearby Pokémon, hatch eggs, and gather items from PokéStops. The update should be available later this year.
Hanke also said that Pokémon Go Plus is still coming soon, and that Pokémon Go has been downloaded 500 million times since its debut.

A premium experience for mobile.
A historic first will mark Mario's debut on mobile phones.
Shigeru Miyamoto appeared at Apple's iPhone 7 announcement conference today to debut Super Mario Run. The base game is designed to play in a similar fashion to an endless runner, but offers different levels and timing-based platforming challenges. There is also an option to race friends, and the ability to build courses using coins collected in the other modes.

Nintendo and Capcom are teaming up for additional costumes, weapons and more in the upcoming 3DS RPG.
Content based on The Legend of Zelda will be making its way to way to the upcoming RPG from Capcom, Monster Hunter Stories. The 3DS family of systems expands in Japan (this time without Pokémon).
The Nintendo 2DS is getting a stand-alone release in Japan retailing for 9,800 yen( plus tax) on September 15. The system will be released in five colors - Blue, Red, Black, Pink and Lavender.
This isn’t the first time the 2DS has been released in Japan. Earlier this year, the 2DS came out with special bundles including the Virtual Console versions of the Game Boy Pokémon games. You can see the Japanese trailer for the system below.

Gonna wipe some scrubs and ride this train.
The next wave of Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC will be out today.
Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are the focus of the update, which includes a new Sand Wand and Train weapons for Toon Link and controllable Toon Zelda. Zelda will use the Phantom as her method of attack.
A new Adventure Mode map is also included with the update, which is available on the eShop today and also available for the Wii U version.

Six player multiplayer combat in tanks.
Nintendo announced a new eShop only title in today's Nintendo Direct called Tank Troopers.
The game lets you customize your tank with different offensive abilities such as freezing or shocking opponents, or blocking them with paintballs. Download Play is supported and matches can have up to six combatants.

NCL snuck in a surprise at the end of the latest Japanese Nintendo Direct.
Miitopia, an upcoming Nintendo 3DS title, was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct in Japan and is slated to come out at some point in 2016. Details were non existent during the Direct, as presenter Morimoto-san told fans to wait for a healthy does of information sometime in the near future. Miitopia did not appear on Nintendo Directs outside of Japan.

It's the Flower Town sequel we never expected.
A brand new Pikmin adventure is heading to the 3DS in 2017. Players will be able to throw Pikmin around the stages by tapping the screen.

In the interest of clearing shelf space.
The Nintendo Direct has given new details about the upcoming update to Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
In addition to being available for existing owners, the update will be rolled into a new package called "Animal Crossing: Welcome Amiibo" that launches this fall. The bundle will come with an Amiibo card from a new series of Animal Crossing Amiibo cards was also announced.

That sound you heard was the entire staff rejoicing.
Picross 3D: Round 2 is finally crossing to the West.
The sequel to the 2010 cult puzzle hit will launch today in North America on the eShop, with an exclusive demo as well. Europe will receive the game on December 2 both at retail and the eShop.
The game allows for painting of the blocks and can also use amiibo to generate puzzles.

Mario and his friends are really athletic, you know?
Mario Sports Superstars is the latest Mario sports title announced for the 3DS.
There will be five different sports to choose from: Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Golf, and Horse Racing. There will also be a tournament mode, as well as online and local mulitplayer.
Mario Sports Superstars is scheduled for a spring 2017 release.

Despite a 3DS Direct, there was a Wii U release announced today.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will release as a Wii U Virtual Console title today in all territories. The Wii U download will release at $19.99 US, $28.19 Canadian, €19.99 and £17.99.

The new Amiibo celebrates 30 years of Zelda.
A new line of Zelda amiibo are coming on December 2.
These include 8-bit Link, Link from Ocarina of Time and a two pack featuring Link and Zelda from Wind Waker. They will all be scannable in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, out in 2017.
Additionally, Nintendo also announced that Dark Horse Comics are working on 3 Zelda books, including one titled Arts and Artifacts.

You'll have to wait longer for the eighth Dragon Quest game on the 3DS.
Originally scheduled for a 2016 release, Dragon Quest VIII has been delayed to 2017. No other details were announced in today's Nintendo Direct.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is still scheduled for a September 16 release in North America. Today's Nintendo Direct announced that if you preorder on the Nintendo eShop, you will obtain a 3DS home menu theme for free.
