North America sees a light week on the downloads this week, with a couple of Switch titles on the horizon. Astro Duel Deluxe is already on your local eShop, and you'll want to check out independent editor Justin Nation's review of the game before dropping the $15 or $20 on it. It's a bit of a throwback.

PC strategy title Ironcast will be coming to the Switch this summer.
Previously announced for Xbox One and PS4, the title is set in an alternate version of 1880's England and involves saving the nation from invading forces using large mechs. Resources are generated randomly so each invasion requires its own strategy.

Johto Legends promises to be an epic journey for fans.
Pokémon and classical music come together once again with the upcoming release of Johto Legends, a one-hour orchestral album celebrating Pokémon Gold and Silver. Composed and arranged by Braxton Burks, the project is already nearly fully funded on Kickstarter and pre-orders for a deluxe vinyl set are slated to start tomorrow, May 31, at 8am PST on iam8bit.com.

The first weekend of the ARMS Testpunch was a volleyball show, so the second will change it up a bit.
On the Japanese ARMS Twitter account, it was announced recently that the June 2-4 session of the Testpunch will feature Hoops and Skillshot as play options in lieu of the Volleyball mode. Hoops involves using the ARMS to slam the opponent through a basketball hoop, while Skillshot is a competitive target-breaking mode.

One day after the announcement of a medieval brawler, Natsume and Arc System Works have announced another localization in the Kunio series.
Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP, a 2016 release in Japan, will be localized by Natsume this fall as River City: Rival Showdown. A remake of the original NES game, this new release adds a time limit with day/night tracking, countering and new advanced techniques.

A date relevant to the interests of at least one staffer.
Sonic Mania will be running away with the end of the summer.
The retro-inspired platformer will launch for Switch and other platforms on August 15, for US$19.99/C$25.99. The date was originally spotted in a Steam trailer for a split-second before its official announcement.
A new trailer has also been released, which shows the Stardust Speedway Zone from Sonic CD as part of the list of zones in the game.

The latest product of the Tokyo RPG Factory launches early next year.
The latest project from the Tokyo RPG Factory has been revealed and will be coming to Switch early in 2018.
Lost Sphear (pronounced like "sphere") is the follow-up to March's I Am Setsuna, and features a party led by a young boy named Kanata who are trying to restore portions of their world that mysteriously vanished. The battle system will allow for real-time character position adjustments.

After a rumble in Tokyo, the next River City title for 3DS will kick it old-school.
Natsume announced today that 2014 Japanese eShop title Nekketsu Maho Monogatari will come to the eShop in North America and Europe this summer as River City: Knights of Justice. The River City crew have been transported to ancient times and use traditional RPG weaponry (swords, staves, magic) to save the land of Riverlandia.

Save transfer will be happening for Japan, at least.
Following last night's announcement of Monster Hunter XX for Switch, Capcom has revealed the release date and more details about how the title will work with existing Monster Hunter games.
The game will release on August 25 in Japan for ¥5800 (before tax), with a Switch bundle including a special system and dock design releasing the same day for ¥36,280. It appears the bundle will include a physical copy of the game.

Capcom reconfirms their commitment to Switch with their biggest gun.
One of Japan's biggest franchises is making the jump to Japan's hottest dedicated gaming device.
Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter XX will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, though no release date has been given. The game has sold over 1.5m copies on 3DS to date according to Media Create, despite launching in Japan the week after the Switch did.

Yes - Ubisoft is making a Mario RPG with their Rabbids and it's weird. Exclusive details and images within.
A more firm confirmation of the rumored Mario and Rabbids game has leaked out and we're able to confirm that, yes, Nintendo and Ubisoft are working on Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle on Switch and it is due out later this summer.
